i'd go with the sentry arms gb6

Going with the smallest one possible is an easy way to make sure.  However, it is also worth pointing out the newer version CMR has a little more room inside.

I guess we didn't ask if he's got a new or old CMR. A new CMR should have no problem

I didn't order the CMR yet, I was waiting to ask my question in here. I already got the barrel and everything else though. I have been eyeing the CMR for awhile. I liked the Troy Vtac and have been waiting to get my hands on the CMR.

FYI, I got an email back from them.  They have discussed it several times, but nothing in the works right now.

So which rails have panels that actually line up? Or is there a way to make the panels line up correctly on the 14" version? Specifically the 7.62 version, but also interested in 5.56.

I love the way the rail looks. Hate the way the panels look when not aligned. It looks sloppy to me. There are alot if rails that would work for a lot less money. So no, they aren't the most important thing, but it would sway my decision.

not sure, that's an SBR lower, but it might I haven't measured

edit: I just went and measured with a cleaning rod, with enough shims/crush washers combination of the two it could work if you could perm. attach it.

Gonna ask again. I know there were issues with government profile barrels, but what about a lightweight with a .625 gas block? Were the lightweight barrel gas blocks an issue with. The older version?

I'm pretty sure the lightweight barrels with the .625 journal didn't have any fit issues. Don't quote me on that though.

I have used SLR .625 gas block without issue on a Spike's 14.5" lightweight profile and a SLR .750 on a Daniel Defense 10.3" Gov't profile. I don't think a lightweight profile and a .625 gas block would be an issue

You're quite welcome.

I only used the KAC gas block because I had picked up a Centurion block that was employed on a SR15 upper with a rifle length URXIII and the Centurion block fit better under the folding front sight.  Anyone reading that at face value would put me in a call out thread for using a $100 Knight's block on a $150 barrel.

I'd hope someone would be able to use this info if a Centurion gas block isn't available for installation on a CMR.

I think it would be great for a hunting optic since it's a Second Focal Plane scope.  I will also be looking to get one of those 1.5-8 Razor HD LH scopes for a lightweight 14.5" 6.5 Grendel build I keep running around in my head.

I just wanted to check before I started buying parts. If you have a Troy front sight and attach the CMR picatinny rail to the 3'clock position, will a Surefire M300C in a Gearsector scout mount have enough room to fit?
