I've been posting, but not in this thread as I had few new pics to show.  My 2004 era MRP has been the test bed for new products for both my old (Battle Arms) and new company, it's the only AR I shoot, it kind of shows some wear and tear but it's only the paint, some had accused it of having been thrown down the driveway lol

The list of things I need to take to the range is stacking up.

My missing MRP child was returned to me after 11 months at a dealer getting turned in to an SBR (long story).

Hastily took some cell phone pics.

In order
12.5" 5.56 barrel with AAC MITER flash hider
10.5 .300aac barrel with direct thread Omega on it
16" 5.56 barrel turned to a smaller profile by Marvin Pitts with a MITER flash hider on it

Now that i've got it back and together I'm starting to think this flashlight is way too big for this thing.

fixed my flashlight woes by going back to the way it was mounted before. I feel much better.

The whole MRP family back together at last. I think it was almost two years ago I set off to change the optic setup on all of them.

Equally bad photo (that hasn't changed) but here's how they sat 2 years ago:

This is my favorite thread in the forum -- finally decided to join.

I'd like to have a 6.5 Grendel barrel converted for my stretch MRP. Partsforguns is the only outfit I've read of who is reputed to do this type of work. I reached out to them a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard back.

Does anyone else know of an alternate trusted source for MRP barrel conversions? I wish LMT made a barrel in 6.5G. The precision caliber makes sense for the precision platform.

I do not want to build a new upper. I'd like to enhance my MRP kit, and be the first on this forum with a 6.5 Grendel MRP.

Sorry for not including a photo in my first post to the site - and Badness at that; sacrilegious, I know.

Optic is a Viper HSLR 2.5-10x32 with capped turrets and no illumination.

Edit: My image was visible in the preview, but I'm not seeing it in the actual post -- might be due to my low post count.

Thanks, sevin8nin. I'll try to get more involved with the forum by posting pictures showcasing the evolution of my MRP instead of watching from the sidelines.

The Bobro is unique and goes well with the solidity of the monolithic receiver. Hope you like it. Looking forward to seeing that on your setup.

First off, huge shout out to Osage County Guns for hooking me up with this baby. I just picked it up from my dealer.

It's a LM8MRPSC in FDE. I have the LM8MRPSC20 and it is an incredible shooter. I'm hoping this one is the same. I'll post more pics once I get it scoped and lasered up.

Getting the Short Dot & LA/5-PEQ zeroed for a coyote slaughter tonight. Full moon, clear sky, just got in 4 brand new MFK calls.

Those are shots # 11,12, & 13 out of the LMT SS 1/7.5" barrel at 100 yards. I love the rigidity of the upper for lasers & clip on's. That's my home made PEQ-15 zero target.

Thanks again. I haven't seen any around either, however Hootiewho advised me that there is one at a shop in his neck of the woods.

I'm finally back in the MRP rifle length game after scoring a great deal from ACPjunkie and I'm gonna put the ambi LMT lower to good use.

Cheers

That's going to be a gooood rifle.  There's a MWS take-off trigger in the EE right now that I would've picked up had I not scored another Geissele for $90.  What kind of glass are you going to put on your Rifle length MRP?

That was a great deal on that MWS trigger. For glass I'm going to pull a NF 2.5-10x-24 in KAC mount from one of my SR-25s until I figure it out.

Thanks!  I just got the folding stock adapter and haven't had a chance to do much with it yet.  But, my impression of it is that it's a quality piece of hardware.  A little hefty since it's made out of 4140 steel, but at least the weight is toward the rear so you don't feel it much when shouldering the rifle.

My sole MRP rifle, sold off the rifle length to get into a set of NODs... so this one gets to be the do all carbine.

DBAL with the IR/vis lazer, SF Vamp tac light and a TA31. Pretty confident in this system, played some cqb drills last weekend and although I was a shade slower on the first round over my buddies Eotech sighted rifle I wasnt giving much up and I have alot more faith and time behind an ACOG. I'd like an opportunity to stretch out that 12.5 barrel and see where the ragged edge of the ACOG's BDC and the reduced velocity of the barrel is.

It is a hefty beast though
