Looks like they are equipped with the Warcomp Muzzle Device; I wonder if they have Surefire cans in-bound?

Cheers

Yeah the Warcomp is the standard issue muzzle device for them. Suppressors are part of the package. Supplied primarily to units who may require them.

This is hot. I ran that same scope on my MWS for a bit before moving it to my rifle length MRP.

Our of curiosity what scope caps are those? They look more robust then Butler Creeks and cleaner then factory NF.

I have wanted the 2.5-10x24 for a long time, and finally got one of the new production units with zerostop and mil-r. My friends at NF would probably give me a hard time for this, but the caps are Vortex Defenders. Specifically the objective 24 for the front, and objective 32 for the rear. They make an "eye piece" cap, but it won't fit the NXS, and the only difference between it and the objective caps is it has a vertical position so you can use one of their dope cards.

I definitely like how the Defender caps fold flat against the scope, and they seem quite robust. Little pricey, but how many sets of Butler Creeks have I broken....too many.

Different view. Normally I don't run a light on this rifle, but the gun was being used as a demo at a show last week.

Out of curiosity, any of you MRP owners happen to have a Colt 901 bychance, and if so, have you tried using the MRP upper with it using the 5.56 adapter to see how it worked? I'm sure it'd probably work fine like any mil-spec upper would, but someone having actually tried it would be ace.

Colt refuses to release a 5.56 version of their modular monolithic rail even though they keep showing it at SHOT year after year. Thinking of maybe doing an MRP upper as my main 5.56 upper.

Got to shoot 300-600yds for the first time today. Brought my 16" MWS out to the 2017 Sac Valley Precision Mid-Range Rifle Marksmanship Clinic and it definitely performed.

Here's a 3 consecutive shots, during a (20 shot, 20 min) slow-fire string @ 600yds. The wind had just died down for a quick moment!

Yes. The only difference is the barrel lengths. all other features/accessories are standard across the forces.

Yep Buddy, you know that 14.5" barrel still shoots like the day I got it, nothing special, but consistent hot or cold.
The 16" SS is still one of the most accurate barrels I have ever had, many rounds later!

Getting some mounts installed for Silencerco Saker 762, Rugged Surge 762 and Surefire 762 mini on some of my favorite rifles. Been pending since 7/19/16 so should be any day now. Any of you guys use suppressor alignment rods?

Nice looking mounts and I feel your NFA pain as I have had a Surefire SOCOM 300 pending since 07/13/16.  Of course I ordered the suppressor in December of 2015 but that is another story.

Cheers

After using drill rod, lasers, spinning the barrel with suppressor attached, cleaning rod, alignment gauge, and a few other methods I probably forgot about,
mount the thing and from the chamber end look down the barrel to a decent light source.  Misalignment will be more obvious than with the rods/gauge.
I had a POI shift (not unusual) when mounting my suppressor to a particular rifle, 3 different bi-locks later, the shift on all 3 was identical & repeatable.
No misalignment was detectable on any of the three.
If you are careful with the rod or gauge, no barrel/crown damage will happen.

/\ yup

after trying several methods i just eyeball them from the chamber end now , it seems to work the best for me.

i was finally able to get my mrp upper out to sight in and run a few mags through it last week.  typical lmt , ran like a top.

Anyone know the heaviest buffer weight that will function reliably in a 10.5" MPR?  Not worried about shooting tula/wolf... Wolf gold, m193, m855 will probably be about it.

An H2 and standard Colt carbine spring should run fine with your listed ammo, unsuppressed. If using a suppressor or full-auto you'd want to step up to an H3 or go to the A5 receiver extension/buffers.

LM8MRPSC20 w/S&B Ultra Short 3-20 w/MSR reticle, KAC PVS-30, LA-5/PEQ, SF 212... This rifle sat in a local shop for well over a year. I think it was a combo of a 20" barrel and most not knowing what it was. It was calling my name and I finally gave in. Thank God I did. It is a hammer with heavier weight 5.56mm ammo. I have gotten plenty of sub-4" groups at 400 yards with BH 77gr 556 TMK, IMI 77gr Razor Core, and even Hornady 75gr steel match.

Here it is with a Short Dot and TPL Eagle Eye gopro adaptor.

I posted these in the nightvision forum, but they are both of the LM8 shooting so I'll add them here too.The day video is at 400 yards, the night is at 100.

Torrey Pines Logic Eagle Eye and S&B Short Dot

ETA: I found a FDE LM8MRPSC 16" online earlier that I dropped the hammer on as well. The plan is to chop the barrel to 14.5" and run it on one of my Colt SBR lowers until I can form 1 the new FDE LMT lower. I hope it shoots as well as the 20" above.

Also for those wondering I am getting 2825ish from the BH 556 77gr TMK with a Labradar.
