What's the story with this M4/M16A2E rollstamp? Are we sure its a 977? The picture title says 777.

Thatguy96,

You have a good eye, you are right, it's a RO777, the RO977 designation for the M16A2E was an error I made when making the caption. It will be fixed with the next batch of update files I send to Troy to host.

Bear with me guys, I know it's been a while but I've got a ton more to add to it, including all the new submissions seen above, hopefully by this weekend.

Good call though, that error is what happens when you stare at Colt model numbers too long!

Please, anyone that finds ANY error, please point it out so I can confirm it and fix it. I am by no means an expert, just trying to put together the images and info.

Thanks,

_DR

Great thread. Here are a couple of contributions:

Sanchez magazine floorplate

Labelle magazine floorplate

2 OKay magazine floorplates: The top one is NIB, with the box dated 12/04; the bottom one is on that has been in my possession since at least 1993.

Airforce gun? That's a really old gun to have been overstamped, judging from the Colt AR-15 rollstamp.

I might, but it would be a long ways down the road. Compiling what is going to amount to 200+ images into a PDF would take a while since I only have a PDF writer, not the full version of Acrobat.

I'll be adding about 100 new images when the current batch is done. (still trying to identify many forging marks).
