This image collection of receiver markings and rollmarks is now being hosted on my new domain.
adding them back...hot links now work and more added every day.
Thanks for your patience.

And a very big thanks also to all the vendors and AR15.COM members who provided images of receivers, many of them images of rare and hard to find receivers.

Thanks _DR

This should come in handy. One friendly suggestion, remove all the duplicate pictures. One good picture of each different lower\roll mark is plenty and would greatly help with the download time

Thanks for the suggestions, I always appreciate input. I will review and see if I can take out any obvious duplicates.

I had to hit refresh twice to get them all to load. I think I may change the images to links so that even dial up users can see tham.

BTW thanks very much, your images were some of the highest resolution, and hard to find ones out there!

edited to add: Now linked so they load only when you select the specific image

The credit all goes to _DR.

I simply provided a hosting space for him that will be around and never give the "bandwidth exceeded" error.

For a picture of the reciever from Colt's M4 Commando Enhanced (RO738) go here

Here is another picture of what is most likely a Colt RO701.

Here is a picture of an Colt A2 style S-1-F carbine with an "M16A2" rollstamp (from factory).

Here is a picture of a Colt LMG lower (rollmarked A2), note the fact that its only two position, these guns were only set up for safe and full auto (marked here simply as fire). These guns are S-F.
