Very nice rifles there. Cloning can be very addictive. I built a colt 733 clone and a 723 as well. Just finished my Idf clone and M16A1 clone this year. Still want a few more.

As mentioned above, wait until you stumble into the SOPMOD and MK12 threads.
Nice clones brother |

What a very strange marking on that in-the-white lower receiver. "Long Branch Arsenal Ontario USA Territory".
The only Long Branch Arsenal of which I am aware was a part of Canadian Arsenals Limited, in the former hamlet of Long Branch (now part of Mississauga, Ontario), just outside of Toronto. They made all the No1 Mk 3 Lee-Enfields for WWI there, as well as No 4 (Lee Enfields) and STEN sub-machine guns for WWII, and FN SLR (C1/C2) rifles for the post-war Canadian Army. They also converted all the Browning 1919A4 machine guns in Canadian service to 7.62 x 51 mm NATO when that calibre was adopted. (This is bringing back memories of my days as a young soldier in the early 1970s!) Nothing left there now but the stop-butts on the test range, an old inspection building and the water tower (built in 1910). In any event as an expatriate Canadian, I feel obliged to point out that it is not now, nor was it ever, located in a "USA Territory". Sacrilege to even suggest such a thing. |

It's an homage to a rifle from the Fallout series of post-apocalyptic videogames!
Who did the engraving? It looks nice! |

ditto on the retro 600 series, mega bucks to get them close. ($1400 for a set of triangle handguards isn't considered insane)

Oh shit, now I remember your post about converting that into an A2. Oh and the service rifle.

I don't play games, so never heard of it. In any event, you now know how unlikely the resurrection of Long Branch Arsenal is - there's nothing left there. Just stay out of the block II threads if you want to keep any leftover pennies... PEQ's as stated above and expensive rails and optics
I cant even step in the MK12 world without giving some organs up so im good for now, like i wont even look in that thread because i know what will happen. |

Good looking clones, I want to build an M16A4 clone one day.
+1 on the Mk18 and Mk12 clones being expensive. I did a Mk18 clone and it cost a lot of money, and a lot of timr sourcing parts. I started a Mk12 build, but have a bad feeling it will take forever. |

Pffff walk your ass on over to the night vision forum where the big boys hang out. That peq is just part of the setups we use/need to run. You could buy a nice used car with this and that's before adding LAM's and illuminators to your gun http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s189/jladelfa/F5833F31-4143-4AFB-9C36-4E411FA61DD8_zpssssipavm.jpg View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I'm thinking of going a different route with the 6920 stock. It's between a LMT SOPMOD and a standard CAR stock, what do you guys think? View Quote I can't believe someone else actually debated this same scenario. My solution was: M4 w/ CAR stock, RAS & Aimpoint M2 M4 w/ waffle, RAS & ACOG M4A1 w/ SOPMOD, RAS & (planned Aimpoint M4) I also did a Colt ambi selector on the M4A1. My M4/M4A1 situation demanded (3) clones. I briefly entertained the idea of an early M4 using a '4' marked A2 upper but decided against it since those weren't adopted in any significant quantities. I only clone stuff that's issued en masse. If I didn't limit myself I'd go insane/bankrupt and be divorced & homeless. |

No offense, but what would the U.S. do with Canada?? Oil?? No. It would be far cheaper to drill in our own oil fields than to fund an invasion/occupation. Is there a 14.5'' middie with DD RIS 2 on it available anywhere for $700-$900?

There seems to be an uptick in people building retro AR's, this lower is $150 new if you can wait 6 months for the next batch....
