I'm looking to purchase a few for some recent builds. I thought there might be some one on the forum that makes them or at least point me in the right direction. Thank you.

eBay.

We ran some in the past in the clone groups but a) someone has to take on the project, b) it wasn't appreciated by site staff and c) they're on the expensive side, especially the set-up costs.

Has anyone ordered from this company? The label they show on the paper backer looks great and has nice rounded corners. The second picture the company shows with the label on a lower doesn't look right (IMO) because the corners are square and looks like it was cut from a larger sheet with scissors. Just wondering which type they supply?

I asked them about that earlier in that thread.  They said the first labels they got had square corners... the current labels they have come with rounded corners.  I still think his labels are not aesthetically 100%, but they are pretty close.

You can make any type of label you want here: http://barcode.tec-it.com/en

Getting them printed "authentically" is another story.

Good luck.

EDIT: UID arrived today and looks good! nice rounded corners. Placing order for a second for my m16a4 build

I have a couple from CLW, and they're good to go - as close to "real" as can be. Buy with confidence.

They are used on US government-issued weapons, and cloners want them for a more authentic look. I would research who printed them for the government. They were added to older weapons too, which means someone got a contract for just the labels.

I didn't even know I wanted one of these. I just ordered one for custom Noveske build. I found their "CAGE" code and plugged in all my own info. Let's see how this works out.

Any rhyme or reason to what sticker's used when?  Like these square & circular ones?

Got my sticker from Carolina Laser Works yesterday. It was $11 shipped and I ordered it on the day I last posted in this thread.

It's printed on some kind of metallic backing which is nice. It seems really high quality, although I've never handled a real UID sticker so I wouldn't know.

Here's a photo.

This is where I got mine. I used Colt, DD and Noveske cage codes. I ordered them while drinking on a Saturday night, got my shipped notification the next morning and got them on Wednesday, 3 days. Awesome service. I don't have clones, but I figured they'd look cool on a few of my clone-ish builds. Sitting out in the sun now.

Not to be "that guy", but the NSN part number for an M4 Carbine is:

1005-01-231-0973.

NSN part number for fleshlight is:

"NotFound"

Quick question, do they have adhesive on the back side or do you have to glue/bond them on with something?

No they have adhesive on the back already. It's a thin peel and stick piece of aluminum

I've never seen one of these IUID stickers that features an NSN. The formats I've seen have had CAGE codes, the mil part number (not NSN) and serial.

For those wanting one for a clone build... I believe these are correct numbers below.

M4

CAGE:
Part Number: 9390000
Serial:

M4A1

CAGE:
Part Number: 12972700
Serial:

M16A4

CAGE:
Part Number: 12973001
Serial:

Many manufacturers have CAGE codes besides Colt & FN. Do a Google search and you'll often find they're registered.

I wish this Carolina place would make the square labels too.  Anyone know if the square ones are used now in place of the rectangular?  Like these:

Thanks; you answered the question I hadn't had a chance to ask yet.

Do you anyone know the part number for a M16A2? I figure they probably have labels now since some units still have them.

I wish Carolina Laser Works would do these stickers. I like 'em better than the rectangular.  I have some exactly like you'd pictured that someone had sold through a clone thread but they have the Colt CAGE. I'd rather have some with the Range Tool CAGE for my RT lower.

Forgive the newb question but what the hell is a cage code?  That like a batch #?

Im so putting one of these on the Colt 6920 OEM1 I just built and I will get more whenever the next damn shipment of Colt AR15A4's finally comes out.

It's just the barcode square thing below the s/n. Thats the only change, no cage code or anything which makes sense considering the Defender is for civilian market.

Edit - scanned the square and all it contains is "LMT12345" where 12345 equals the serial number

Commercial And Government  Entity Code. It's an identifier assigned to a manufacturer of government items. Instead of having to write out "Colt Defense yada yada yada" on the side of something, they can just put a simple number.

Real iuid's also don't have so much information on them that they split into 4 data matrix squares, they're all single squares.

Hey guys, it is Chad from Carolina Laser Works. Thanks for all the comments. I am ordering some of the square blanks for those that want those tags. I have to call my supplier but it is usually about a week or two before I receive them. Once I receive them I will add them to the catalog on my webpage. Thanks again.

Chad...bravo! Thank you sir, this is great news. I will be placing an order for a few square UID labels when they're available. After all, I need to obscure the billboard logo on my FN15 Rifle

Similar to this (not my rifle) but, same size & shape
