Somewhere I saw a Holland with arms 40 rear and a pri front sight.
Would it be blasphemy to use a KAC sight set?

Well, one of the original SPR uppers came with a #38 sleeve that had been chopped for a Matech rear. It's not that crazy to do a Knight's, only that very, very few of the Hs seemed to ever even have irons mounted.

None of the reports or pictures show the KAC sights so I would say that they are not clone correct; however the most cl e correct seems to be no backup sights so I would save the KAC rear sight for another clone.

Lol this page cracks me up.

I'm so close to being done building my Mod-H!!  Got my Doctor sight and tomorrow I'll have my offset mount to put it on then I'm done--only three more clones to finish after that.

By and by I have an unused Gen 1 Rifle length Ace stock if someone who wants to build a MOD-H wants to message me.  Offer me a reasonable price and it's yours, I prefer the Magpul stock look, plus I'm the only one rocking that look at the moment.

Are you saying you gots an ACS on yours?  I'm looking forward to that...  It looks right on that build.  Plus it looks like it would be a really good stock for precision shooting.  I never tried one though.

i rocked one for awhile. it wasnt bad. nice hand notch for prone shooting weak hand placement. they can be loose on the tube but i used some tape and shims and did the bend the locker tab trick too. i liked it. only took it off for the SOCOM.

i want an offset H-1 down the line IF i can afford it.

Yep that's what mine looks like.  I think I like it because I've always used a magpul or SOPMOD and it just feels like home when shooting.  I need that big cheek rest.  The ace in comparison feels too small.

I like the h-1 look but I put one on last weekend just to see how it was with weight and I didn't like the balance, it's a bitchen look though

Sell this man the goods.

I went with the GG&G.  I wanted the more expensive one, but it's clone correct and I have a feeling my MRE build is going to bankrupt me

Agree. My little bastard non-clone mini-Holland in progress sports an ACS and after hunting with it a full season, I think it's now my favorite AR stock.  Which is good, as it takes my difficult decisions down to just deciding between a recce rail or LT-104 once I snag another 2.5-8 Mk4.   I'll keep it out of this thread, though.

So the GG&G is clone correct? What other offset mounts are clone correct besides the original Matt Burkett mount?

Wilcox, Predator, and GG&G are what are used with the Doctor and Aimpoint sights.  This is either based off of discussion from pictures or discussion from operators.

5.56 , but should be in 6.8 for next year assuming I can finally find someone who can turn me a barrel.  My AEM5 is in .270 caliber, or I'd seriously consider a .300.    Hopefully the Hearing Protection Act passes.

18E3V definitely makes reference to their use on pages 267 and 296 in the MK12 thread.

I'm pretty sure that the mount in this picture is a GG&G though I'll be able to tell you better as soon as mine gets in.

Sure, no problem.  As you can see I placed the sight were the mount will hold it.

It's kind of sad, I haven't had time to do much more than a weapons test since I repainted it, turns out having a kid takes a lot of time.  Luckily, I'm joining a gun club soon that is close so I will be able to get back into it, which is awesome because that's when I get spend time with my brother who makes me as a cloner look like an amateur.

Hot hot hot.  TSSSSST  Hot.

I'm just starting to wrap my head around the proper optics.  That's a Leupy 3x9, right?  TS-30?

Or is that the Leupy Vari-XIII 3.5-10?   I have no clue what a Mk6 is.   I'm pretty sure that's a leupy.  NF has that checkered ring at the mag adj.  I think.  And I know it's not a Short Dot.  LOL.

Thanks man it's been a build of love; yes, it's a Vari Xiii that used to sit on my mod 0 so it's fitting.

Can't we get a teaser pic of your progress????

It's my favorite setup for sure

I'm ready to get to load development.  I bought 1000 70 Grain Barnes Triple Shock Bullets for hog hunting.

Wow, you must have a lot of hogs running around.

I keep wondering if there is a pic of how long those bullets are in comparison with other rounds.  I guess I should just go on Barnes website and see what the OAL is.  If I ever get bold enough to try some, I might want some that will stabilize in my 1/9 M4gey barrel.

He's got an account (brunnels), his cloning style is just different than mine.

His tend to represent everything from WWI up until 1980, mine take up the slack after that. Makes for a fun day at the range.

100% reliable so far, after a couple hundred rds. She's not going to win any matches, but it's accurate enough for me with the A1 field sights. I love how handy and light it is.

My 733 is sharing a lower with the Mod H(ish) for now funny you mentioned not wanting to paint it, cause I have the same dilemma! 733 wouldn't look quite right with a rattle-canned lower IMO.

Oh no, you don't understand--it's already built out, with a Gen 2 ACE SOCOM. But as much as I like th ACE, I've always been kinda intrigued by the PRS, and that pick keeps drawing me closer and closer.
