Call PRI and have them send you a thin bracket that fits in the heat shield which can accommodate the larger screws. I had to do it when I installed my handguard.

i went from short to long rail. slide in the metal piece. fish around with a screw till u find the threads. secure. done. no cutting!
im goong back to the ACS i had before the SOCOM. socom yaws too much off the bipod for me. i cant sell it as its a critical cone part lol. |

That's the LaRue/Harris bipod. Has a LaRue QD mount built into the Harris, the knob on the back is for setting the tension on the tilt.
