I love OG SPR's, but I won this LaRue 18" so I won't be OG with it, since it's no OG.

I was still thinking PRI, but a 15" Geissele rail looks pretty awesome.

I wound up going with the ALG rail when they had their sale.  I have a nice pile of parts that I am patiently waiting to put together.  Still need to pick up a gas block and gas tube.  Oh, and some glass.

Older build.  Sold it during one of the panicks to fund a SBR and suppressor.

Beautiful gun.  Makes me want to order a stainless barrel for mine.

This is one of the early 18" 1/8 barrels.
It has proved to be a poor performer with 77/69 gr ammo, but with 52gr matchking ammo it's a fricking laser.
With a high powered NSX mounted, rifle bagged and benched, my second shot seemed to miss, my third, touching the first, 4th the other side touching the first, 5th right on top of the first.
Now at 100 yards, they were all covered by a dime, but what of the second shot, upon close examination the target showed the second came within a few mm (barely high) of the original hole!
With heavy barrel and effective brake, you can watch bullet impact at 15X.  It's a great rifle for teaching new shooters.

My two Fav builds. The spr-ish one on the right is awesome. Larue 18 stealth barrel with mid gas system and larue gas block. It shoots amazing, very light recoil and ejects perfect at 3:30-4. I just finished it up a month ago. Also has a larue MBT2 trigger and failzero BCG. I can't say enough good things about it. The one on the left is my SHTF 14.5 pinned rifle, areo upper and lower, FN CHF barrel, PSA NIB BCG, ALG ACT trigger. Someday I will get an optic for it but I'm in no rush. Keep thinking of moving the strike eagle over to it and upgrading the 18" rifle glass.

SPR top rail was a pain in the ass...why? because when the top screws didn't line up I thought I had the barrel indexed wrong and took the entire damn rifle apart breaking my vise in the process...then I realized the top rail on the genIII forearm is designed to move forward and backward to adjust to the top rail placement...lol 2 days later...SPR top rail installed and now I have a vise that is essentially the anvil of the god Vulcan
