Lets limit this to rifles only (no pistols). Feel free to write a quick description on the specs of your build, as well as the ammo you have loaded up.

I'll start with mine:

Upper:

LMT 10.5
F1 .30 6" Ti suppressor
Geissele Mk2 rail
Surefire Mini Scout
Aimpoint T1/LT660
PA 3x magnifier (doesn't always stay on there)
KAC VFG
MBUS

Lower:

LMT Defender 2000 SBR
Geissele SSA-E
Because of cost, I have 62gr MSR Fusion in my mag

This was a trunk gun I had for a while. It was a KAC SR-15 E3 Mod 0 upper, Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4x20, and Anderson lower.

What bag is that? I NEED it!

Edit:

I qualify with both for duty use but carry the 14.5 ELW every day. Lower is an old M&P with a Geissele SSA-E.

I posted several truck guns I've had over the years back on page 1 or 2.  Latest was a norinco SKS (another CA compliant gun).

I'm moving to Utah in less than a month and I'll be using an AR again.  Will be interesting to see what my setup ends up as.

Anyways I'm posting now because I was just curious what Ammo availability is like for our Italian friend?

That looks like a great set up for a defensive gun.  How do you like the rocker switch style light on long gun?

Not ideal, I've had better set ups but where it's at and where I hold, it works extremely well. I already had the light and that's what this build was about...making use of items I already had to keep costs way down. Didn't paint it only because it was one of the pieces I wasn't 100% wouldn't eventually change. We'll see. For now very happy with it.

Goodwill found Blackhawk Plate Carrier that I fixed with an old Canvass 'Nam era H-Harness, Kel-Tec SU-16C, Pentagon LED Light on a US Cavalry bag I set up to be a active shooter bag. The plate is an ancient piece of steel rated for 7.62x39mm and 5.56x45mm.

I just got an Inforce APL to put on my carbine and the switches on that thing are real nice and easy to operate.  I like it so far.  But I just got it today.  It was a pretty good deal too.  I got it at Primary Arms on sale for 88 bucks.

I don't expect her to go into the middle of shit but I like knowing that she has enough to hunker down and hold her own. Her work place has had an active shooter incident in the past. Luckily she was off when it occurred. So I figured a quick kit would work for her. Just in case something happens while she's on the road.

We had one here in a prominent neighborhood at a well known Beauty school.  Where they're learning to cut hair and do nails.  Some disgruntled boyfriend or husband or some crap like that.  Would be good if even the womenz are armed.  My wife is not motivated at all about shooting and I'm lost as to how to help her be motivated.  She's all for me carrying though.

Don't do that. Build another rifle. Seriously. You won't get much at all for that upper either...market is not good.

This is my truck gun. I've posted this same pic in the "build it yourself" forum, but here it is again. It started life as a complete Stag upper and lower with 1/9 twist barrel. I sold the barrel and replaced it with a Green Mountain 1/7 twist barrel, and added the Bushnell Elite 4200 scope that I bought a few years ago that was just sitting in a box unused. Plus I added a Seekins Precision free float rail. I think I should add a light.

My HD rifle is a stock Colt 6520 with a light on it and nothing more. No pics of it though.

... Ok, I have to ask... why is your rear sight on backwards and pushed forward on the 14.5"? I know that having it on backwards won't affect anything, except windage adjustments, and I can understand why the EoTech is forward, but see no reason why anyone wouldn't want to maximize iron sight radius. You've already sacrificed a few inches on the front sight.

You may be victim of an illusion. The sight is a flip up and is laying down. I don't think one can go on backwards without some "engineering". I have the same one on a M&P 15. Didn't think I'd like it much but do. I have a hologram sight as well, pretty much the same set up.

YMMV

Show her lots of guns. Mine was/still sorta is the same way. We recently saw a pink Sig P238 that REALLY caught her eye so I think that's my foot in the door.

I'm teaching her on a 22 so she doesn't have to deal with "the loud bangs" until she gets more adjusted to them.

No illusion. I've been using Troy flips for a long time. I can see that your sight is lying flat, however it is folded inboard toward your EoTech, instead of outboard toward the charging handle. Very easy to put one of these on backwards. To correct, detach from rail, rotate 180 degrees, re-attach to rail. Think about it.

Haha I get this question all the time.
#1 it's in the most rear T slot so when it's up it is in the same spot as where it would be if it were not backwards.

#2 it's backwards for a few reasons mostly because it's a Troy. Troy sights often have the scalloped side of the sight on the wrong side. If you look at whatever rear sight you have, the recessed or scalloped side of the peep sight is probably to the rear, with the Troy, it's on the front and bugs the hell out of me. I pick up my irons better with the scalloped side rearward (like it was designed). If this doesn't make sense I can take a picture to show you. Also, I like it flipped that way because when it is the other way I often bang my knuckle on it. I've had a lot of bloody knuckles from working the charging handle because of it. And finally, as a back up sight anyways, I prefer for it to be just out of my way more.

The main reason though is the whole scalloped side thing of the sight. I will post pics for clarification.

Edit: I shouldn't say like it was designed as older weapons had the scalloped side away from shooter. However, most modern weapons (except for Troy sights lol) have it toward shooter. So long story short, yes it's backwards and I prefer it that way.

Oh, well why didn't you say so? I'm going to leave this one alone now. To each their own. No pics needed.

You mentioned that you qual on these for duty use. Please stay safe out there. Hey, as long as you don't flip your EoTech around like that one guy, you'll be alright.

More room for activities.

Troy installed backwards. Notice scalloped side facing shooter.

These are Sig sights on another rifle installed the proper way. Notice again scallops facing shooter.

Most sights are like this. Troys are weird but I've been using them since 2009 this way. Works for me.

Edit: thanks for the kind words. Always trying to stay safe out there. And for what it's worth I have been contemplating going to a more low profile rear sight (installed correctly). In 2009 there weren't as many low profile options as there are today. Really liking the Magpul Pros and will prob pick them up and change them out. Thanks for the push to do so!

Thanks CD. I am familiar with those and KACs are on the short list but will likely find its way onto one of my clones if I pick one up. Your knowledge and experience in those threads is awesome and I appreciate it. I think I've read every page of the MK18/CQBR and Block II thread.

HD rifle. I've added KNS pins and a USGI side sling swivel since this pic was taken. Also swapped the light to the opposite side and put tape switch on the top of the handguard.

LMT lower
Geissele G2S
Magpul triggerguard
BCM grip and M4 stock
BCM 14.5" midlength lightweight upper
PSA Premium BCG and CH
LMT rear sight
Streamlight Protac Railmount 1
IWC scout mount
Not in the pic but usually has a Grey Ghost Gear sling

I need a Mk8 DDC in my life. Not willing to split with my Mk18 RIS II tho. Looks like I need a second CQBR.
