Any updates on the bump fire grips?  I was on an email list with JT Grip Solutions and it doesn't appear that JT even has a website any longer.  I was curious if anyone has heard of JT or another company that will be bringing bump fire grips to market this year?

The owner's been updating the project status on the AKFiles.

They had a setback with the molding on first batch of AK grips and had to go back to the drawing board.

I've seen him post on my youtube channel.  Never saw any for sale.  It's too bad to hear about the bad batch of AK grips.

Have you tried a binary trigger?  Mine's a ton of fun.

Thanks for the comment.  I haven't seen anything mentioned over on AKfiles, but I might not have been looking in the right place.

You are awesome...read the thread and posted, so I can find it easier.

I'd really like to see these for AK...I'm not as excited about seeing them in an AR, but I'd buy one when they are available.

Whoa. Looks like that thing works well!

ETA: can someone post or PM me an address to get on a mailing list or pre buy?

On the website there's a place to register for the first release notice.

We are hoping to start on the new molds by the end of the month. The JT AK grip will be the first released, followed by the JT AR grip.

All the delays were caused by the original tooling co inability to do their job. They took our proven prototype design and went with it. The problem was that it was a prototype not a manufacturable design, so the end product didn't work. They had wall thickness more than 3x industry standards and with the precision needed with this grip, it was waste of time and money. The re-design is all about thinning the walls to recommended thicknesses.

It appears that to make it function you cannot shoulder your rifle? Is that correct?

Correct. It's bump firing, the weapon needs to reciprocate freely. This was designed with the "pistol" in mind, but works on anything.

That is what I wanted to read.

How thick is the grip?  From the vids I saw...looks to be fairly thick.

I'm sure I'll end up having them for AK and AR.

At it's widest point at the base, the grip is roughly 1.25".

The cost will be 2-3 X a regular grip. It will function as a standard grip all day until it's un-locked in the bump fire mode.

Moving fast on the new design. 3D samples will be done within a week, then to tooling.
