None, colt doesnt make a civilian rifle with a 14.5" socom barrel.  Military rifle would be the M4A1.

This. The 6921 is the closest thing in a semi but its government profile.

So, I'd have to assemble my own I'm guessing?

Yes... definitely doable.  Buy a 6920, pull the barrel and sell it, buy a 14.5 socom profile, put it on, sweet

Not very hard if you have the right tools

It takes me about 5 minutes to change a barrel.

You can buy a complete factory Colt upper with a socom 14.5 barrel. I pick one up 2 years ago brand new in bag with cage code and NSN # on the sticker.
Date on barrel 08/10 you just have to look around to find them try gunbroker.com.

Just buy a 16" SOCOM and have ADCO cut it down to 14.5

I would just sell the whole upper if you want your rifle "factory complete".  Buy a complete 14.5 inch upper from Specialized Armament.
This one already has a pinned FA.  You can call them for the availability of the un pinned uppers.

Or, buy this -> http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/ARR-6920 and have SA cut it down for you, although as they come these are some of the most accurate assemblies I've ever owned.

Or.. DON'T buy anything from CheaperThanDirt, ever.

Buy the LE6920 Upper from a good dealer, not a traitorous POS company like CTD.

If the OP has an M203 or plans to get one, the SOCOM 6920 will not work with it.

I don't even think the hassle of cutting it down is worth it - just sell the barrel and get another.

When Obama says something, CTD adjusts their prices so you can save -870%.

You buy there all you want. You'll just give them more of your money so they can sell used GI magazines for $100 a pop.

Not to mention they anally massacre you on shipping. Especially if you order more than 1 thing and they're at different warehouses, which they always are.

FUCK CTD!

Edited to add this explanation. During the most recent panics (YES Plural) CTD would cancel existing orders claiming the items were out of stock and them relist the same items for sale at DRASTICALLY increased prices. We're talking 200-300% increase in sales prices on items such as magazines.

Buy the 6920 upper (try the EE and if not find a reputable dealer) sell the 16" barrel and buy the 14.5" socom from a reputable dealer.  That will be the easiest and best option.

You're right it's a terrific upper, but don't buy it that way. Buy a complete Colt 6920 for $800 or so and sell the lower off for $500 on the EE. Get the upper for $300.

Just curious, why wouldn't it?  Does the 16 inch barrel not have the flats milled out like the 14.5?  I know it has the forward notch....

6920 and 6920 socom barrels are different profile thicknesses.
