I already have it: Mid-seventies Colt SP1 with NOS M16A1 upper receiver and barrel. Yes, I still have the original upper half.

I own an RRA because that and Bushmaster was what the LGS had on the shelf the day I turned 21. Also the only two companies in the business that I had heard of at the time.
Today... I vote Noveske, but wouldn't hesitate to buy a BCM, Knights, or a Larue either. |

If I could only have one... Depending upon price limit, Noveske, LaRue, KAC, DD, Seekins, LMT,and Colt. In no particular order of coarse.

I want to say KAC but the whole proprietary parts thing....so tie between KAC and Colt and FN and BCM and DD and LMT and Noveske.

BCM for me. Make it a 16" pencil profile middy, free floated. I have one, and it is what gets used the most. It also pulls home defense duty when not out at the range or on the run 'n gun trail. With a variety of optics setups, it could do just about everything I need an AR to do. Here she is:

Me? Funny you should ask. I'm reaching for my Noveske Afghan or Recon. Maybe I'll run them both at the same time - one in each arm. Yes, one in each arm, like a scene from Terminator.

Though my factory SBR KAC 11.5" CQB with URX 3.1 now has a T2 instead of a T1. Two of my three DD MK18 CQBRs have T1s, and the other, a T2. So, yes, I surely do agree with those choices. 
No Elcans for me anymore. I prefer good eye relief and a generous eyebox. |
