I already have it: Mid-seventies Colt SP1 with NOS M16A1 upper receiver and barrel. Yes, I still have the original upper half.

I own an RRA because that and Bushmaster was what the LGS had on the shelf the day I turned 21. Also the only two companies in the business that I had heard of at the time.

Today... I vote Noveske, but wouldn't hesitate to buy a BCM, Knights, or a Larue either.

If I could only have one... Depending upon price limit, Noveske, LaRue, KAC, DD, Seekins, LMT,and Colt. In no particular order of coarse.

When LaRue is an option, LaRue is the answer.

Daniel Defense. I just ordered my second Daniel Defense AR. Pick your model, they're all excellent.

I want to say KAC but the whole proprietary parts thing....so tie between KAC and Colt and FN and BCM and DD and LMT and Noveske.

BCM for me.  Make it a 16" pencil profile middy, free floated.  I have one, and it is what gets used the most.  It also pulls home defense duty when not out at the range or on the run 'n gun trail.  With a variety of optics setups, it could do just about everything I need an AR to do.  Here she is:

I happen to own both set up exactly like this and both have their own QDSS-NT4 Suppressors. One thing on my KAC though is that it has the special edition LW URX rail. Solid choices for sure.

Sweet. Would also be a top choice of the rifles I own to grad out of the safe if it ever came down to it. Mine uses the KAC mount and M300 Scout light though. Honestly, I kind of like how my Mod 1 with a triple tap handles over my 14.5 with a MAMs but, I really think it is because I have a significant amount more trigger time behind it versus the 14.5.

KAC or LMT

I already acted on this and got a LMT MRP though, so I'm set.

I sometimes wonder how many people who say Larue actually own one...

Me? Funny you should ask. I'm reaching for my Noveske Afghan or Recon. Maybe I'll run them both at the same time - one in each arm. Yes, one in each arm, like a scene from Terminator.

Well played. My two favorite choices as well.

Though my factory SBR KAC 11.5" CQB with URX 3.1 now has a T2 instead of a T1.

Two of my three DD MK18 CQBRs have T1s, and the other, a T2.

So, yes, I surely do agree with those choices.

No Elcans for me anymore. I prefer good eye relief and a generous eyebox.
