Built this a few years back and finally got around to shooting it from a seated position.

At 50 yds it looked like a shotgun blast.  Could not keep the groups tight or consistant, the best one was about 3".

Tried it with a TA01 ACOG and the NF.

Barrel nut is tight, used Federal PMC and reloads.

No, it is a 6920. I love the TA33. I've shot it a lot at 3-gun matches that do exclusively short range stuff, and can double tap it nearly as well as my Aimpoint. In my opinion it is great for a jack of all trades carbine. The eye relief is not a problem. It's much better than the 4x models.

It's worth it, you'll love it. The eyebox is huge and the optic is so small. I often say its the T1 of Acogs.

Maybe try different ammo????  That just don't seem good.  Also check the tightness of your scope mounts when they are mounted......

Shhhhhhhhhhh.....  with post like this, it might make me do it one day.  I just sold a .22 rifle and I'm thinking about selling my M-1 Carbine to fund something like this.....  But it's so darned expensive....  LOL.

My Sister has seven children therefore I need to piece together two more.  (With my luck they will say "oooh their icky why didn't you SBR all of them")  I need a rear sling swivel for one of them, good slings for 4 of them, and one more ACOG and BUIS.
Colt AR-15 Match HBAR (Ban era LE-6601 with restricted markings on lower)

Colt Sporter Match HBAR (slab side) with new old stock un-fired barrel (Needs a rear sling swivel)

Armalite M-15A2 National Match with green furniture

Rock River Arms National Match A2 lower with A4 military upper.

Rock River Arms National Match A2 lower with Palmetto State Armory FN barreled upper.
Even better most of my grass is still green.

You would be right.

See how the sling attaches to the handguard cap and not the usual spot on the FSB?

That is so the sling tension goes to the freefloat tube and not the barrel.

Here's the latest iteration of my 20 incher.  It's a PSA with an A2 barrel from FN.  I just added the folding FSB so I could mount my optic at the proper height for me without the FSP getting in the way.

I had a '66 vintage XM16E1, but I parted it out and sold it. I do have a late M16A1 in progress, though.

It's not too terribly bad. Definitely eats a lot of the recoil, this isn't a gun i would want to carry all day but could do it if i had to.

This has been my go-to rifle for the better part of a year now. My 16" guns barely leave the safe anymore. I'm experimenting with the BCM VFG for the next few months, but don't normally have anything on the bottom rail except the gear sector sling socket.
