My current 3-gun rifle.
A Green Mountain 1/12" twist 20", love it with 55gr Hornady FMJs.

I have switched out the Stag Arms 3G brake for a Miculek brake since this picture.

Thinking about switching to a Magpul MOE rifle stock eventually, but happy with the A2 stock for now.

Also waiting on a micro dot to add for a 45 degree offset sight.

I love this.  I bet it handles like a dream.  I am planning on doing a very similar build once the McKay A1 profile 1/7 twist CL barrels come back in stock.  I'll even be using that same handguard, except in the 12" version, behind a folding FSB.  I will be using the MOE rifle stock too.

Thanks, it shoots great, much better than the man behind it!
I thought the pencil weight wouldn't be good for competition, but I have not had any issues yet with overheating or losing accuracy during a string.  Adding the Miculek comp really made a difference on follow up speed.  This started as a carbine build, I also noticed a difference when I switched from a carbine buffer tube setup to a rifle buffer tube setup.
It is a very fast handling rifle that stays on target for me, props to the MI handguard for keeping it light and controllable.

BCM govt 20 upper 1/7 twist with MI handguards
PSA lower
Leupold VX R 2-7 in American Defense extended mount

Wanted to try this out, was prepared to swap out for fixed stock but I like it. Balances good for me and I get a cheek weld right in line. I set this up for hunting coyotes to calls and still hunting hogs. 62 & 77 gr zeroed at 200yds has been altogether consistent enough for what I intended.

It looks to me that if the rear ring was turned around there wouldn't be enough room for a rear BUIS.

And...your avatar bugs me.

I'm kicking myself for getting rid of an old SAK barreled A1 upper I had for a little while.  I slapped my Colt A2 bolt in there and put on a 4x scope on the carry handle and I shot some 52 grain match bullets and some other 55 grain stuff and it was very surprising at how well it shot.  I'm pretty sure there were some groups smaller than 2 MOA.  I was kind of careful about not shooting too fast because of the profile of the barrel.  If I can find the pics I'll post them.

But needless to say, I was sold on the fact that it doesn't need to be a heavy barrel to group well.

Thanks, like I said, one of my favorites.  That and my 10.5" still learning to love a 16" - not sure why, but either long or short is most comfy

I tend to agree. I have no love for a 16" except a Mk12 mod H. But I do have a bunch of love for a 14.5, which probably makes about as much sense as a football bat.

The shorter variants would be bomb diggity for HD in my eyes. (10.3-10.5 etc)

ETA I do love the 20" as well, in A1, A2, and A4 form.

Thanks, but negative. The C7 should have a Thermold mag, but instead, I'm using the PMag because they look similar and I'm not buying a Thermold. They'd both have aluminum USGI mags if it wasn't for that.
