Pulled that damn pin out of the stock so it finally works properly. Removed ALL of the mag blocks in my magazines. Florida is a LOVELY state.

Congrats!

Sent off my upper to Ayan for assembly and bought an NF 1-4x. It's been an expensive day.

That will be a beautiful gun upon completion.

Tonight when my wife and I got home I decided to to mount up an optic.

It's been a rough week due to several things happening in our family and work, and after doing a bit of relaxing, I got a Vortex Razor 1.5-8 mounted up on my 16" Quentin Defense/SR-15 E3 "Mod1" lookalike.

There are some good optics out there now, but this 1.5-8 is quickly growing on me for being lightweight but incredibly clear and VERY lightweight.

But I will beg and plead for some HSR-4 in this scope, someday.

Dimpled a barrel for gas block setscrews in preparation for selling.

The replacement barrel is going to be a Faxon 18" and heading toward a URX3 Rifle Length equipped gun I've been thinking of for a while.

You will like it at first and it will grow on you even more. Tactical/professional yet understated.

A great all around choice - especially if you're in the hot sun for any length of time-where basic black gets hot quickly.

I pulled this stainless barrel from my mocked-up rifle pictured here.

I have just now ordered a Faxon 18" Rifle gas barrel from Aim Surplus and it will be the final piece to finishing this weapon.

The PWS/YHM Brake I have waiting for it should look really good installed on a nitrided barrel.

Started to mount a scope.  Bad thread on the mount.  Sent it back.  Put BUIS back on.  Ordered  different mount. Wanh!

Moved around a few optics in preparation for finishing out another upper later tonight.

My SBRs now wear Vortex Sparc AR optics and the Sparc 2s are on some other weapons.

Rezero time will be next week.

Received a backup PSA Premium 5.56 BCG today. ($90 shipped)
Ordered another PSA 7.62x39 upper this week. ($319+$17 shipping)
PSA has been out of these for a good while; apparently now they have come back with mid-length gas system and nitrided 1/10 barrel.
Adds some more pow pow to my pew pew.
I just need a lower and a few accessories (trigger and Raptor CH).
Ok, gonna need more mags (gotta have 10 per rifle, right?).  Oh and more ammo, duh.
And then I think I'm done pre-election.
He tells himself only half convincingly.

Ordered the Larue lo-pro gas block, gas tube and 13" ALG EMR V3 for my build. Also received my shipping notification for my Larue MBT. All that's left to order is a grip, buffer assembly, stock and then decide on glass for it.

Today I spray painted my B5 Bravo stock black. It was the Mandrake pattern on Palmetto State Armory for 30 something bucks. Looks cool with the tan butt pad.

This AR is mechanically complete, just needs a front sight and flashhider. (Thinking about getting the Fulton Armory power wedge A2 front sight) or going a different route entirely and getting an M Lok or Keymod set up. (Been considering the Aero Precision hand guards.)

Here's some quick and dirty shots...

Finally "finished" my first AR-15. I put finished in quotes because the more I read here and the more I see online, the more I know I'm going to continue adding and tweaking for months to come.

The final step was installing the A2 birdcage flash hider and replacing the end plate with a single-point sling version and then attaching the sling. Very happy with my rifle, and proud that I built it from pieces instead of buying a completed upper. Can't wait to go to the range and sight it in!

Threw in a JP Extra power spring, added a Odin Works XMR (ordered the XMR 2 from Primary Arms but they sent the first gen XMR, no biggie ill keep it but I emailed them about it to let them know about it) and a POF Archangel charging handle

I changed out muzzle brakes on my SI-Defense/KAC SR-15 legacy rifle.

Originally it had a YHM QD brake for my 308 silencer but I wanted something different so I picked up a PWS brake which works with my NT-4 (still not approved as a transfer to me yet ).

I also mocked up the gun with my Viper PST 1-4 to get an idea of weight.

It balances extremely well and I think it's going to be a lot of fun to shoot with this new brake.

Haha thank you!  There are a few more things I need to get to finish them all out, and then it will most likely come to a crawl.  We'll see how long it takes.

But nice rifles M4ger.

Today was a little bit of reconfiguring when I received a gift from flg23.

I decided to take a cutoff piece of a URX3/3.1 black panel and try to meld it into an existing piece for bottom rail coverage on my 18" precision rifle.

While the pieces were out, I thought it would be ok to mimic the URX3.1 on this Rifle Length URX3.

The finished product:

I also installed a NT-4 FH on one of my legacy rifles.

Today I finished out my SI-Defense/KAC URX2 E3 gun with a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 and a throw lever.

Just in time to go run it next week with my first student since beginning my training company.

After cleaning up my workbench last night I realized I had a few extra Magpul MVGs that I seem to like to employ on URX3/3.1 handguards.

I did a little reworking of one of my guns and finished this one again.

Knight's SR-15 M4 carbine gas barrel cut back to 14.5"
YHM QD 1/2-28 brake pinned and welded to bring OAL past 16"
KAC Rifle Length URX3
S&W Magpul edition lower with Rise Armament 140 trigger, KNS Gen1 pins
BCM Gunfighter Mod4 CH
Slightly modified MVG
STR, Milspec
Ergo FDE
SPARC 2
FDE Pmag20

I threw this one together today as well.

These are M&P10 handguards that I used on a milspec barrel nut/delta pack.

The gas block is a Faxon nitrided .750 that I pulled from a barrel to use a PRI block on.

I like how it's allowing some of the stainless to peek through.

I finished these little monsters with some generosity from a dear friend of mine.

He had these handguards slated for future use but he decided I needed them more to finish out these guns so needless to say I am in debt to him.

The Quentin rifle will have a new optic coming soon, but for now, it was set up with one of my Aimpoints.

I finally had some time to go paint this milled URX2 (PN 20549) for my Anderson carbine build.

I had a couple different cans of flat black and went at it around 1500hrs today.

This is merely mocked up just to see the color and has had about 6 hours of curing time.  I didn't want to start screwing on URX panels and screws and really jack up the finish.

I test fires my MBT with a batch of .17/rd hard primered ammunition. 10 bangs for 10 pulls, I was happy.

I went ahead and put a Wolff XP on one of my MBT triggers and got 10 good strikes as well (as expected).

I'm very happy with this ammo, great deal for the price.

Maybe, I'm not sure how well the hard primers will work on the BumpSAW. I think it will work well with my Echo trigger when it finally ships.

A couple small packages arrived today which let me install a 60/90 Seekins selector and a Battle Arms BAD-EMMR for one of my Noveske/SR-15 mutts.

All I lack to make this rifle almost fully-ambidextrous is a LH magazine release which replaces the standard catch.

I also found time to swap out a few magazine releases on a handful of guns and get some optic mounts positioned for future work.

Well I've broke down my upper to return a barrel for R&R from a source I shall not name until the issue is resolved. In the meantime, I'm going to replace that barrel with a Faxon 18" GUNNER barrel. In preparation while it's apart I decided to lap my receiver to true it up some. Originally I had to adjust windage quite a bit to the left on sights, red dots and scopes, so I know it was off a little. I hope that solves that issue. My new barrel is coming in. I cannot wait to get it back together with that new light weight barrel!
