I've got a steel target at my normal outdoor range right around 440yds. It's typically a bitch in the wind with my 11.5" 556 and 4x mag. One of those Faxon 12s or the 12.5s sue from BA would be nice!

Intrigued by the 14.8" barrel. What's the rationale for that length?

Also, nice build.

It started as a 16" AA barrel with 9/16x24 threads - for whatever reason AA uses them. I've got an .30 can in NFA jail at the moment and wanted to get it threaded in 5/8x24 as to be able to use the QD mounts I've got on the way.

Being it's a mid length barrel I couldn't cut it down too far - so went all the way back to where the fluted section of the barrel started. The lower is stamped so length didn't matter. Thus 14.8".

It will get pulled and put in reserve once the BA barrel is out.

Adco did the work on this one.

.264 (6.5G & 6.5CM) has become my favorite thing to shoot and I've not shot any of my 5.56 rifles in quite sometime. It is so much more rewarding on steel.

My mini-recce. Apologies if I've already posted it...can't recall.

I feel like I've finally found the setup that's perfect for me, right at the intersection of my actual use and the capabilities of the cartridge.

Barrel is a Rainier 14.5 Select medcon middy (5R, 1:8), trigger is an SSA. Everything else should be obvious.

That was kind of my logic as well. Red dot doesnt allow you to take full advantage of the capabilities of the platform at distance and a 3 or 4-whatever power scope leaves some to be desired up close. Nice rifle btw.

Sunda Gunday. I feel like sharing.

This is as far as I currently am with this build. The SR25 recce rail will likely find a new home on my Mk12 Mod1 with a set of NF medium rings since I'm not planning to run any backup irons on this thing.

- LaRue 12" Stealth SS barrel, likely cut back to the end of the rail when the time comes
- KAC Medium FF RAS
- BCM Scratch & Dent upper
- PRI Gasbuster
- M16 BCG
- KAC SR25 recce rail, 300m BUIS, bubble
- KAC QD sling socket
- KAC Hand Stop

Temporary muzzle device will be a SureFire so I can get some use out of the Warden I have laying around. I'm currently waiting on an NT-4 to be transferred so at some point, I'll be swapping the SF comp out for a KAC NT-4 MAMS mount.

Also brokered a smoking deal on a KAC 34mm mount to accommodate a Leupold Mk6 1-6x. Only thing is the mount has 19 MOA built into it but I don't think it'll be a problem.

This is hot.

I have a very similar build going right now, 6.5G 12.8" lilja barrel and Urx 3.1 though. Not sure if im going to put a 2.5-10x24 NF in my Geissele 1.93 mount or what. Kind of want the scope for the 6.5G.

Aside from the rail I don't think I'll be using any parts that are common with the Jack, but Jack Recce, Jack Jr., or Mini Jack would be a cool nickname if I had the non-NFA Jack Carbine.

Gonna cut the barrel barrel back to 11.3ish and use an NT-4 MAMS brake with the 'Cob whenever it finally shows up. Until then, I'll be using a Warden. Also need a Mk6 1-6x. Really sprung on this sucker.

Probably 12.5". I couldn't find a 12.5" barrel from Red-X Arms or Radical Firearms so I guess I may just use this 12.5 barrel.
