I have some Grade 12 Titanium take down / pivot pin and safety detents machined on a CNC lathe in a vacuum chamber for exact tolerances and 1000% reliability when disassembling your rifle and silk smooth operation of your selector. Each detent is $11.95; safety detents are $39.95 due to extreme tolerances and increased machine time.

I've also got some detent springs developed on the International Space Station. They are $59.95 each. Identical to springs used in space. The metallurgy is top secret though. I'm the only one other than astronauts to know it.

Is it bad that when I see this pic of your girl all lubed up I get just as rapey inside as if it was actually a girl all lubed up? I think I need BRD rehab.
Sir! Put down the guns. Shit, shower, shave, put on something nice, with a collar, get yourself out of thy house, and immerse yourself in a high female ratio environment.

Yeah son...go out and get yourself some.

Date rape is a lost art...

That was a pic I stole from the web just for demonstration purposes.  Not mine.  Don't have a phantom. I'm an A1/A2 guy general, vortex for no flash at night stuff, or muzzle brake for competition.

How you like your Phantom at night? I haven't had a chance to shoot more out of it than XM193... I'm betting "premium" rounds like Hornady 75 grain OTM's might have even less flash at night...

The Vortex is my favorite muzzle device. It's a little heavy for what it is but almost none to zero muzzle flash even with XM193 is awesome. I haven't gotten to shoot the Phantom much at night yet but I'm hoping it fares almost as well as the Vortex. The Phantom is much lighter though...

Well made and work as advertised. I've install three of them and have no complaints. Unlike a traditional crush washer and it's linear torque increase, these were very consistent throughout the torquing process. Off of feel, I'd agree that the stated torque is about 15 ft lbs.

CAC01,

How are you installing these? Flat side facing the muzzle device or flat side facing the barrel?

Okay thanks, I also e-mailed Armageddon Tactical and they said the same thing.

Prettier.
And they crush to a full thread easier.
That's about it.

in all seriousness,

are these crush washers any better than the 5pack I got on Ebay for $6 ?

They are not like the picture.  They have a black finish.

Hey, I know this may be crossing the line into the dark side to ask, but would these work on an AK?  I have 2 that the pins no longer work in and I need to snug up the muzzle devices on.  OD is .540.
Guessing these may be just a little too small?

Wow.  All that effort has to be "better."

Hey there! Chris from Armageddon Tactical here. I have been sort of watching this thread for a bit and wanted to comment.

Armageddon's crush washers were developed with 2 things in mind: eliminating excessive barrel thread torque when timing muzzle devices and reducing installation time and frustration. I have experienced both with conventional products. Colt Industries recommended 15-20 lb ft of torque so I set out to achieve that. This was done through a combination of materials and design. I also wanted them to provide a full turn after engagement so that is why the internal groove is 1mm wide. The lead on a 1/2-28 thread is 0.0357" and the groove is 0.039" wide. I am sure you can see the correlation. The outside profile is functional as well. The angle you see on the face allows the washer to "ultimately crush flat" while the ID angle keeps it from clamping down on the threads after collapsing. No just pretty but functional. They are also more expensive to produce than conventional crush washers so I am not capitalizing on pretty - just trying to cover costs as any business would.

I know this product is not for everyone. No product is. However, if you have concerns about the stress placed on your barrel and the time and effort you spend installing a muzzle device it is worth considering. Can't ask for anything more than that.

Also, it is a R&R (remove and replace) item as are all crush washers.

Best,

Chris
