Anyone prefer the SSA over the SSA-E? I plan to get one for a pistol lower with Sig brace im building. I don't need it for precision shooting, but more of a general carbine. I have an SSA-E in another lower and admittedly to me it might be a little light for general use. I have it on a 6.8 AR for hunting and I think it does great in that role though. I have a Knights trigger in my SR-15 an I actually prefer that over the SSA-E, but the Geissele's are a little cheaper.

I have the SSA in my BCM Recce-16. I have not tried a SSA-E but just figured as you that it might be too light for my needs as the SSA seems perfect for general range use and drills.

When I tried both the SSA-E seemed really light. I chose to get an SSA and even that trigger has such a light break that it can sometimes surprise me. That being said, I'm no pro. I think you'll be happy with whichever one you get. Enjoy!

Run the SSA in your pistol build.  SSAE is better left to precision rifles.

The SSA and KAC trigger are real similar in break weight.

I prefer the SSA-E but any of these 3 are really good.

I have both of them, the SSA feels more like a carbine trigger and the SSA-E seems better suited to a scoped gun.

Id go with High Speed National Match for a precision setup.YMMV.

I prefer the SSA trigger in my Ar's where movement is more likely to happen.

I have a SSA-E in my .308 build which is more of a precision rifle where I'm usually prone.

I have both in 6.8 AR's and prefer the SSA-E.  The best choice for you is what you feel comfortable with.

This.

I second the above post. I have an SSA in my primary home defense AR.  Sweet trigger. You have to get used to the light & quick trigger break.

I have both, and this is truth.

I also have both and agree with the previous recommendations. SSA on my 14.5" plinker and SSA-E on my .308 precision build.
