But, a 5320.20 isn't asking for "permission", it's "notification" to the ATF that you are traveling with an NFA item. So, once it's submitted, you are G2G. At the beginning of each year, I fill out 5320.20 for each state that I may travel to during that year with NFA items and put multiple dates (Primarily FL for when I travel to my condo in Destin, but also AL, GA, KY, TX, etc - anywhere I think I may go that year with personal NFA items). Though, I do more traveling with items that are under my employer's FFL/SOT than I do my personal kit. But, whenever I travel with my family or non-work travel, I always travel with NFA items. YMMV. |

Are there any differences between the Westernsport overrun barrels vs the commercial DD barrel (besides gas port)? Any difference in engraving? Or gas block dimples?
I just picked up a barrel and I think it is one of the Westernsport ones, but I'm not 100% sure. |

Found a decent price on a mk18 RIS II for my 2nd CQBR build. Gonna ship my 6920 barrel to be chopped and get my Colt CQBR on.

Mine is: 081317207-B DD F MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 Mine also has 2 dimples for the gas block. I don't have the correct tools to measure the gas port, but I used drill bits to check. Size 50 (0.0700) fit, but the 49 (0.0730) was too big Edit: Mine did not have a beveled washer, but I bought it off the EE, so I can see why it may not be on it. I am thinking that I may have got one of the overrun barrels... Which is cool because I had a WTB ad for one, then got impatient and just bought this DD barrel. |

I know a lot of small PD's where it's encouraged to carry your own rifle because otherwise you won't have one. Where i work it's up to the armorer to approve what you can and can't carry. I know some are carrying SBR's while other guys are carrying plane jane off the rack rifles. On the flip side of that, some larger departments you can only carry what you're issued. |

Also, my CDQ sling mounts showed up today. |

My agency issues/authorizes Colt, BCM and Daniel Defense guns. I chose to carry my own because I'm familiar with it and I know it works. |

I've had a backorder since June and I still haven't seen it. Apparently SF likes to drag their feet on the FDE's. |
