Was finally able to pick up two of my Surefire's last night! 762-RC FDE and a 556-Mini FDE. The SB's are still a couple months out...... I'll post pics tonight on the appropriate hardware. I have to say, the L119A1 clone with the 762-RC on it looks bad-ass!

Yeah there's no way I would pay that much for a flash hider. I'll just continue to be clone close instead of clone correct. It's really just the principle more than the money.

Pretty close considering they are .mil spec, but I just happened to need a 2nd one to complete my M4 Block II Upper. Or, if it makes everyone feel better, I can put this one on my CQBR and the other one on the 14.5... This game is expensive. I should have stuck to golf 
ETA: Somebody here (not going to say who) put together a spreadsheet of what they spent on their Block II CQBR build. That ought to be on page 1 (not that anyone actually reads pg 1 :)) to let everyone know what they are getting into

What's the secret to securing an actual correct colt Lower? Buy a SOCOM and sell off the upper. have ADCO cut/profile the barrel to M4 specs for your M4A1 upper build. FIFY

Hey guys. New here on ar15.com but not new to guns but I have a question for you guys which might get flak but here it goes.
I'm in California so SBRs and supressors are a no go. I want to build a mk18 mod 0. I have a pistol lower already and a 10.3" barrel. My question is sort of a "what would you do in my situation" Should I build the best clone I can as a pistol? With either the sig brace(which I can't ever shoulder)? Or a naked pistol buffer tube. Or option 2 which I know is lame but it would at least be a rifle...use a 16" barrel with a fake can that slips over the barrel giving the appearance of a 10.3 with a can? At least then it would look much better, and I can shoulder itand use it without any legal issues. What does the mk18 clone the best justice in your opinions? And I can handle the hate but my options are pretty shitty in this state. Thanks guys. |

M4 Sopmod Thread M4A1 Sopmod Block II Thread Although there have been a couple pics of MK18s that have been rebarreled with 14.5" M4 barrels.. ETA: heres a pic of the re-barreled Mk18 Mod 0's

Yeah, either do a Block 2 build with a 14.5'' OR get yourself an mk18 with the sig brace and find yourself a place where nobody is looking at you when you shoulder it. DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD. But seriously, probably just build yourself a block 2 14.5''. |
