I don't know why I am having this debate with myself...but for some reason I seem to be struggling with painting my DD FDE rail.  The rest of the gun is painted except for the rail.  I don't have any intention of parting with the rail.....so why am I struggling with this.  Paint or no paint?  Am I overthinking this?

if the upper is painted then I'd paint the rail, or clear the paint off the upper(even half assed looks fine) and just keep the lower painted or no paint at all. this is a clone thread and those seem to be the most clone appropriate paint jobs and look the best IMO.

This. Strip the upper, or "lightly" dust the rail to somewhat match if you're on the fence.

It looks like a G.I. rod, but it's actually a G.I. combat beard scratcher. You aint tier one unless you've scratched your beard with a G.I. rod while taking incoming fire

I can never get it off and  The paint came off within 500 rounds, I'm not a big ones for looks (I painted my cqbr) but damn that was the first day.
It's stuck on for the 2nd time and yes I did try to take it off hot.

I'm sorry but give me my sdn-6 or 556 sd for far less $$ any day.
If I bought it for any reason other than I'm a cloner and want to look cool I would be MAD

Damn that sucks to hear Hatexoc

I ordered my SF Brake yesterday in anticipation for the RC's approval.
Now I took my AAC Brakeout off today, this is what I found.  I could see clear through the bore before I removed it, so it wasnt blocking it, but this carbon was somewhere!
And the last pic with the Brakeout on.....stupidly I forgot to snap a last pic with the SDN6 mounted on it.  Now the SDN6 will pretty much be exclusive to the MOD 0....and sometimes used on the M4 Block II, and the RC will be used exclusively on the CQBR.

How to remove stuck SOCOM suppressor

Here's a vid I made showing how to remove a stuck SOCOM suppressor without shooting it off. My suppressor gets stuck each and every time I use it. I just do this every time and it's no big deal. :)

(edit: Why the hell doesn't it work when you enter the utube URL in the quick button? Seems weird you can't just enter the URL like it tells you to. If someone can hotlink it that'd be cool.)
