You guys are gonna make me build a Larue upper

Mocked up the EOD thing on my Mod 0 lower.  Am I crazy if I think I like it more?  Wondering what kind of front sling setup to use on the EOD.

I'm a fan of the EOD guns myself.  Just use the built in qd points.

Most often you seen single point bungies being used with a CQD rear on the EOD guns.

Here's one with a 2-point bungee sling, but it is unclear how it is attached. Probably a mash hook on a CQD front or similar.

Here's a neat pic of a TA11 being used on a 10.3" upper. Navy EOD again...

U.S. Navy EOD aims his rifle from a humvee during a training exercise January 17, 2011 at Kuwait Naval Base (KNB) in southern Kuwait.

Nah you're good. It's because you have less than 50 posts, so it has to be approved by team members. It showed up.

Is that a GSD weaseling his way into the pic?

Son of a bitch...

I went to "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" last-night and fucking fell asleep during the movie! Last thing I remember was they has just made it back to the CIA compound and were heading up the roof, waiting for the attack. I woke up after the firefight was over and the Libyan Military showed up.

How disappointing! I literally go to one movie a year, shit I haven't even seen the new Star Wars yet.

Tons of Mk18 action in that movie! It's given me some thoughts on my next build.

Tier juan weekend!

Got a couple new goodies! Buddy sent me a black 99051 that came back from over seas with him. It's a little beaten but it was "free" so I'm OK with that. Plus it looks battle worn and sexy! Picked up a FDE PRI Gas Buster Tactical and just installed a tear drop tonight!

I had no 3/32 punch and I couldn't find anyone in town with any in-stock that was open other than Harbor Freight. ASK me how that went........ :(

I've spent over 20 minutes between last night and now trying to find anyway to email them other then the international customer form and I can't find one. I tried to fill that out but it won't let, there is no option for USA addresses.

I would run the A2 but the finger grove is VERY uncomfortable to me.

I'm no expert on the matter, but I think technically there is only the Mk18 [Mod 0] and the Block II CQBR (and potentially the Block I as well), but I think Block II CQBR's are widely coined, unofficially, as Mk18 Mod 1's. Again, I think it's technically incorrect, but "Mk18 Mod 1" is apparently used even among people who know the official name.

Take that all with a grain of salt. I heard that somewhere, probably online, and I have no idea if it's actually true or not.

This is true.  But since my mind had been away from the CQBRs as of late, it sparked renewed interest.  With that being said, how are T1s viewed nowadays?

T1's are in use. I've seen some on SOPMOD 10.3s and 14.5s, although much smaller numbers than the EOThingys, Elcans, etc.

I would run the A2 but the finger grove is VERY uncomfortable to me.

There is only one MK18, the other one is a CQBR.

Hmmmm I thought we decided the Mk18 Mod 1 was the RIS II / CQBR?

I'm no expert on the matter, but I think technically there is only the Mk18 [Mod 0] and the Block II CQBR (and potentially the Block I as well), but I think Block II CQBR's are widely coined, unofficially, as Mk18 Mod 1's. Again, I think it's technically incorrect, but "Mk18 Mod 1" is apparently used even among people who know the official name.

Take that all with a grain of salt. I heard that somewhere, probably online, and I have no idea if it's actually true or not.
Combat_Diver has posted photos in this thread with lowers engraved MK18-1 .

Gracias.  I know about Block II

I missed CD's post on that one.  I try to catch up with this nearly every day, but it runs sideways sometimes.

It's all good in the hood. I had his pics on my old phone, which I don't have with me presently.

Maybe someone else that saved them can post them?
