Man these guns look so good!!

What's a reasonable price on getting the upper /lower /rail cerakoted?
Just a ballpark price so I'll know whether or not I'm getting screwed

Contact "Dan_Gray" from page one of this thread.  He did mine (page 3) and will take good care of you.  It's probably cheaper than you think.

anyone happen to have the tungsten grey and a sniper grey to compare side by side? I can't decide between the two!

Pics do help, but you can call Cerakote and ask them to send you samples of each.  They come out like small paint chips (not unlike picking out house paint). They've been happy to do it for me a couple times.

Great looking rifles!
Sniper gray has no metallics or "flakes" if you want to call it that. Tungsten of course has the metallic look. Both are great colors.
For solid colors I stay away from high gloss finishes, I like to keep them more matte or a slight satin look where metallics look better satin or gloss. They are still good when sprayed matte but better with more hardner.

Here's a couple of pictures of my HSP Carbine.

In this one, you can plainly see that the finish looks very different between the upper and lower.

In this one, the difference isn't as pronounced.

I must say, BCM has out-done themselves with this offering. Just a fantastic carbine. And after going shooting and cleaning it up afterwards, the color difference is almost non-existent.

She now has a name, and it's "Titty Sprinkles".

I just ordered some swatches from NIC. Liberty Coatings actually did the first black swatch. I plan on having a gun done with the semi gloss graphite black and the tungsten on a 7.5 pistol build. Here they are. Left to Right.

Semi Gloss Graphite Black, Sniper Grey, Tungsten, Gun Metal Gray, and Titanium.

A Little Less Light

Sniper Grey is pretty dark. The pictures make them colors look lighter than they seem.

Oh damn, that is so f-ing sexy! The only thing I would have done different is have the barrel in a standard (pencil) profile. But I really like the set-up you have there...

I was already thinking pretty hard about doing this to my Seekins SBR, but now I am beyond convinced.  This color is damn sexy on an AR.

What's a fair price for doing a lower, upper and hand guard? A couple places I checked charge about $230, are there better deals out there?

First place I sent to last year for my lower, upper and handguard in burnt bronze was $240.  Found someone closer to me from the cerakote website authorized finishers and he did my next one for $140. This was for a lower, upper and handguard as well. This one even came out better.

So long story short you can check their website for authorized people around you. It worked for me.

Haha!, your preachin to the choir. I would love to SBR this pistol.. but having to ask for permission to take it across state lines... on top of other complications of NFA shit  kinda kills that for me.  It shoots fine now ( about the LOP as a collapsible on the #2 position) so NTC works great with the scope. If I could put a UBR or a B-5 on it without NFA shit I wouldnt even think about the pistol brace.

I'm still waiting on a ..45 octane hd suppressor that I bought last year in March... burns my ass that I had to pay an extra $200 to wait for permission to pick up my shit.

If I were to have my entire rifle (upper ,lower) cerakoted how much should I expect to pay? are there any suggestions on where to get it done? There is a place here in auburn that does it but they wanted $200 to cerakote my glock patriot brown.

Average price is about 60-70$ per piece, so about $180-200$ for all three to be done, and you could probably throw your trigger guard and CH in there when they do it.

I would recommend boltcarrier.com to take care of your cerakote needs if you want to ship it out. Extremely quick turnaround time.

I understand...I'm waiting on a AAC can myself.  I went the trust route...and I have a warfare grey cerakote job in the works for my seekins build.  Hopefully I'll get to post that soon in this thread.

The brown truck dropped this off today

This build should be complete by next week and I'll post more pics when she is all finished up...this was done by Ben at Lockhart Munitions.  He is partnered with Modern Outfitters.  Both great people to deal with and great customer service.

This is Ben's special grey custom mix he calls Warfare Grey.
