THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Decided to go with Stag Arms for my first build. Went with the Stag-15 2T. My reasoning is because I wanted a good gun. So far I have added:
Daniel Defense Vertical Grip
Surefire Z70 Rail Covers, 3-Pak
Mag Loader w/ Five 30 Round Magazines
Galco International SLC Tactical Sling
Wish list would include collapsible/adjustable bi-pod stand. Considering something like Aimpoint Pro, for the optics. Other than that pretty much keeping it stock. I have put about 1000 Rounds through it so far and I am really impressed. Enjoy some pics. Please comment.

Fresh out the box

Flickr works fine :D you need to click on an individual image. right click and select the largest size. then when that is open, click "view image" if you have firefox. if you have chrome, click "copy image URL" If you have internet explorer...wtf is wrong with you?

I've always liked Stag AR's. OP, you did a good job and that's a quality piece you have there. For your first AR, you really couldn't have done much better. Its a very attractive rifle. Might I offer just a little bit of criticism though.... lose that vertical fore grip you have on there currently. It appears to be a little too long, looks kind of goofy, and adds unnecessary weight to the front of the carbine. I think you would be better off with a Magpul RVG. It's smaller than what you have on there, no doubt it's lighter, and to a lesser extent, would look better too. Better yet, a Magpul AFG2 might be a better option. Check These out.

It's funny how times and tastes change. There was a time when you'd get kudos for the way your rifle looked with a VFG!

In all fairness, the DD VFG weighs next to nothing; I'd wager an AFG2 weighs more. Appearance aside, if it works, great. I just ordered a Gear Sector VFG and can't wait to hang it off my rifle. I went from a full size Tango Down to a stubby Tango Down, then to nothing, then to an AFG, then back to nothing. We'll see how this Gear Sector VFG works out, but I hope it'll be the ticket.

My reasoning for the VFG that I went with was the fact it was easily adjustable, lightweight, and not so stubby that i couldn't wrap my fingers around it. The Magpul seems like it would be to "big" for my hand. The only thing I dislike about the VFG is the fact it does seem longer. But if lay in the prone position while shooting the mag actually sits on the ground and the VFG has clearance. As far as the sling goes it was a simple/cheap buy for basic carry. I am really looking at getting a single point. Have not looked to much into them yet but I am open for suggestions. Thanks. I am super happy with this purchase. What really turned me on to STAG was the fact they machine all the parts for the carbine in house. They have been supplying other manufactures for almost 40 years and have been in the business of guns since '03. Which is reality a short time but they have such a high standard of quality which is what I was after. Thanks for all the comments!
