Welp... I ordered a stripped lower from spikes and my intent was to "build" my first one.. :-( Unfortunately there is a 4-6 month wait time on them. WHILE I wait for that to come in sometime.. Decided to purchase a already built AR... Went with the Colt LE6920MP-R. My reasoning is because I wanted a good gun, this will get nothing but optics which I should have monday Aimpoint Pro.... other than that I added a BCM charging handle Mod 4, it will stay stock pretty much. I want to get familar with it, enjoy it and shoot it, and decide how I want to build the next one. I really like it. Like is probably an understatement.. I haven't shot it yet but I can already feel that I am going to have more than 2-3 of these..lol DAMN it..hahah

Anyways Here are some pics! Glad to finally join the family!! :-)

Yea I kinda went a little nuts because of this site and getting stuff...hahah

BCM Charging Handle... very nice!! Much better than stock honestly I was quite surprised! Mod 4

I changed the position of the safety because I shoot lefty.

Current production Colt AR have reversible selectors, it have two grooves for the selector detent pin at both ends of the selector.

OP:

Nice new Colt, enjoy it!

You could also post your pic at the Colt Industry forum where all the Colt guys hang around.

Nice rig. Now go kill something with it. Pigs are more fun than targets, but targets make less of a mess.

Filled in some of the roll marks.. Little bit of a pain, I have to redo the colt side and figure out how to get some of the white ghosting off..

Congrats! I bought my first Colt (but 2nd AR) this week also.

Did yours come with the Magpul stock ( did you change it out) or the Rogers SS. I am waiting on my Magpul CTR to get here to replace the Rogers which I do not like.

I was going the old school M4 stock and had ordered one from PSA but changed my mind after looking at the CTR.

FANTASTIC mindset! Always good to see someone who understands the need to take things slowly, so to speak.

All too often do I see people who buy a rifle, and before even putting a single round down range they buy a bunch of accessories equalling or surpassing the rifle's price, without knowing what works for them.

Great gun to start with, too!
