THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I inherited this rifle from a family member and I wanted some opinions on what its worth and where the best place to try and sell it is(I live in FL FYI).

It is a DPMS AR15(exact style unknown at present time) w/ Magpul Indus PRS, Badger Ordanance Forend, Harris pivoting bipod, Krieger Fluted barrel w flash suppressor, flip up combat sight, and a Truglo 3.5x10 BDC scope. I have a bunch of other goodies as well(extra ammo, magazines and carrying case)

Just looking for some educated opinions

Thanks

take a picture with a cellphone or digital camera and upload it to photobucket then post it here.

or click the little IM button there under my post and ill give you my email addy to post the picture for you.

I will take a guess and say already that you NEED to part it out to realize the maximum profit. Especially that barrel... most anyone who wants a Krieger barrel is going to want it on their rig and not yours and they won't want to pay the extra cost for the rest of the rifle when they don't need it. Having that barrel on there kills your "in the know" market, which is also the market that will snap it up in a heartbeat.

Also need to know the round count and condition of that barrel... a fresh unfired Kreiger barrel is a whole lot different than one that has seen 5k+ rounds.

The scope you might as well sell separately for $50 bucks or just don't figure it into the price... no one who wants a Kreiger barrel will want to pay money for that scope when they could put that money towards ammo.

Here are some pics... and I know its not a brand new barrel but I cant imagine(knowing who owned it) that its had 5K+ rounds through it. Id say probably somewhere in the 500-1000 range.

I do not care for the scope but other than that I think that is a pretty nice rig.

I would shoot the crap out of it and think about the person who willed it to you.

LMAO.. yeah the scope is a little shoddy but I wasnt including it in the whats-great-about-the-gun category. I also have a Nikon scope that came with it.

Would you care to guesstimate a value?

I would say $800 would be a fair price to sell it for. The tru glo scope basically adds no value to the rifle.

I think he'd get a little more than that for the parts.
Wise men still seek him.

I was thinking he would sell it as a whole, not parting out assuming he doesn't know how to strip it into parts. If he strips it, he will definitely get more, but might spend more time trying to sell it.

If you swap out the Nikon you could get at least a grand for it.
