THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Hi all

The holes that are in milspec rails and the MRPs.....do any of you know what thread it is? Also, do you know of any other accessories for it other than bipod studs? The hole is at the black arrow - pic shamelessly stolen from Team Member The_Accuser

TIA
Mark

they're 1/4"-20, and one would assume they're there to make the rail more adaptable, by giving more options to hang stuff on it that we didn't know we couldn't live without.
after all 1/4-20 is what a satelite dish is attached with.

Funny, I've had the MRP cqb chassis since around 2006 and have never noticed them... Not sure why they are there as I don't know of any accessories LMT made the would fit them. Hopefully someone in the know will chime in on the subject.

I know bushmaster used to have a screw in stud for slings or bipods that was meant for this.....they dont have it anymore though.

Thanks for the sizes.....now onto some brainstorming.

You know that screw on handle you never used fron your 3/4" drill?
Instant vertical or horizontal grip.
