I've checked out the pics on the  S&W sight and I want more! Show us some pics.  I own one AR, it's a sport and I can't get enough range time with it.

Why do you have both a VFG and an AFG?

I searched but couldn't find one.  If there is one maybe an admin can move or delete this.

I like the angled fore grip for rapid follow up shots. I like the vertical grip for two reasons. One, it's better for sweeping buildings *granted I probabley will never do*.  And two, when I'm throwing a few hundred rappid follow up shots down range, even with gloves on it becomes two hot to hold the afg but not the vert grip.

Man, that's a heavy-looking rig. Not hatin', just sayin'.

+1 on the AFG/VFG observation.

Here's my M&P 15 Sport. I just installed the MI two piece free float rail last week and put the 4-12X40 scope on it to do some 100yd accuracy testing. When I do my part I can get 3-4 shot groups into 1 - 2 in at 100 yd with factory 55 grn 5.56 and 223 ammo.

My 15 Sport:

I chuckle at the folks who hate on this gun.  I beat the dog shit out of my last one, and it held up great.  Sand in the ejection port didn't kill it.  Water didn't kill it.  This is my go-to beater.

And like any jealous child, the MRP wanted attention.

Yes I agree that it looks silly, but its practical. Here in Texas when its 100+ outside then you start shooting and that hand guard heats up, you'll want that peg. My old quad rail would get so hot after a mag in the summer you couldn't handle it even with gloves.

I live in central California. It's ridiculously hot here. We had 3 100+ days so far this week.  I've never seen anyone put two grips on there weapon system. I knew it would look funny to most people. But when I'm holding my vg and my thumb fits perfectly on my surefire button it just feels right. Or when I'm trying to get all my shots within a one foot circle from 75yards away taking rappid shots by holding my afg with a thumb over assist, it just feels right. .

You do what works for you and I'll do what works for me.

I'm curious about that handguard and VFG.  How does the VFG mount?  Or is it that just a particular rail cover?

I figured the MBUS on the gas block would have heat issues before the hand-guard got too hot to touch.
