THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
On buds they have the Stag model 2 listed for around 800 and on the stagarms site they have it listed for 1130..... My questions are, why does stag have a ridiculous mark up on their own product and also, is it worth the extra coin to go straight through stag so that I can get the plus package??

When I look at the Stag website I see the Model 2 at $940 and another $100 for the plus package. For that much, you could buy a Colt from DSG

It's to encourage customers to use a manufacturers exclusive distributors. These distributors are basically "commisioned" sales people. If Stag or others sold their

products at the same prices their distributors charge, these same distributors would be unfairly competing with the parent company. Many buyers would just buy direct from the "factory".

These dist. give Stag the equivelent of many eggs in the basket to push their product.

In the end it's usually a win-win situation.

This ^^^

The manufacturer does not want to compete with his dealer network.
Standard business practice.

Have you asked your dealer if he can order the Plus Package for you ?

I got my stag mod8 direct from stag and bought the plus package. If you want the option of shooting heavier grain bullets then I would get the PP. If you are not going to be pushing them then don't get it. For me I like having that 1/7 twist, it just gives me that option of doing that if I want to. Just my 2 bullets worth.
