First rifle.

MP15 Sport

New upper, muzzle break, free float, debranded & a few other little goodies.  Yes the cheek riser is on backwards, works the same this way with the exception that I'm able to charge without the stock being fully extended.

Thanks! I just ordered the KAC battery thing for my T-1 after looking through your posts.

My plan is to have the whole thing Cerakoted in Foliage ala the great John Noveske's 10"build but I don't want to disassemble the whole thing just yet.

Future color scheme plan:

Fair enough question.  I don't think John really worried much about matching colors with magazines, and I wasn't worried about it either.  I can't remember if I grabbed it out of a bag, or if John threw it to me.  There was a LOT of gear that wasn't shown in that article, including his NV, and a bunch of other stuff.

There were also a lot of images that came out of the week I spent with them.  The vast majority of them will never be seen, and the taped hour (+) long recording will never be heard by anyone else.

Truly beautiful rifle. I remember when I read the article about that gun/John, I think it was in Recoil, absolutely blew my mind.

Just found this thread, gotta say I'm glad I decided to go with FG, some of these rifles are just fantastic!  Anyways, here's my humble, incomplete offering.  Should have the SS barrel on Monday and then it can be finished up.

started out like this in 2009:

By the end of the year it looked like this

Then I upgraded the stock from a CTR to a UBR, but still hadn't fired it.

Normally it wears a swaro z6i 1-6 ee, but I took these pics a couple years ago with a USO 3-17 that I had on it for use as a 'secondary weapon' in the Mammoth Sniper Challenge  (won first place)

The barrel is an  18" compass lake barrel w/ wylde chamber, rifle gas and a custom profile I requested.  The upper is a colt m4 upper, bravoco BCG, LMT tac charging handle, vltor gas block and FSC556.
The lower an Essential Arms, with white oak LPK and Geissele Super Dynamic 3 gun trigger, and magpul grip and stock.

Foliage was my color of choice, I love how this one has turned out. I really don't understand why more people don't go with Foliage for their color... it's awesome.

JSE Surplus nitride 1:7 5.56 barrel
PSA Lower with CMMG 2 stage trigger
MOE+ grip (the rubberized one)
ACS-L stock
MOE BUIS
Aimpoint PRO

Here's one in low light that darkens the color - almost matches my Spyderco Delica also! (edited to correct my poor spelling)

Big +1 on FONTYs comment.  Very cool!

Two questions/requests:

1. Tell us about the upper, specifically the rail - love the way it looks.

2.  Tell me your thoughts on that Vickers sling?  In the front, does it have QD or clip front mount?  Looking for a similar option and want to use a clip style front mount for my Stag2T.

Thanks

The rifle is a knight's sr-15 mod 1 with the urx 3.1.

I only use vickers padded slings. They are the most veristile, as well as comfortable on the market. They have a variety of different attachments, I like qd swivels for ease of use and and quietness.

Another post to keep this going guys (I like foliage).  I typically don't like cases on my phones, but I finally broke down and got a Magpul case to match my AR and I'm actually very happy with it.  Good form and function in my opinion, especially for the price.  I'm taking photos in crappy light with my iPad - no flash - so take it easy on me please
