Cav Arms A1 stock with an A2 butt end.  The butt Cav Arms offers is way too soft.

That carbine actually looks good with an A1 stock, might have to change one of mine up.

How are the Cav arms buttstocks? Have been thinking over getting one to try out versus my A2.

I've been pleased with my Cav arms stocks.
But the template logarithmic a throw away, you will want to get an A1 or A2 replacement.

@SeanC does that optics setup result in absolute cowitness, lower third, or perhaps something in between? Thanks.

Absolute.  I have astigmatism so looking at the dot through the rear peep works best for me.

That is one of those Aimpoint gooseneck mounts that you can find on ebay. The clamp is often sold separately and not all the goosenecks have the hole for it.

It's a 14.5" PW CMMG "Giffman" barrel from an old group buy here.

@RyanH what colors did you use? Base coat too. That is a great looking camouflage and pattern. Kind of looks like it would fit into my environment. I'm in Virginia.

I painted that gun 5 years ago. I think it was Rustoleum camo paints. Base layer was green, then I used black, brown, and tan that I painted over sticks, clumps of pine needles, and whatever else I found behind my house. I thought it turned out pretty good actually...way better than it should have since I had no idea what I was doing. Just got lucky.  Lol

Here's my take, im sure some have seen me spamming it around.

Something i think is funny right now is how tons of people who hate carry handle ARs and red dots mounted on them are now moving to ultra high mounts for their flat tops.  A lot of the arguments were height over bore blah blah

Started out with a few pieces from one those SE Asian A1 kits,  now debating on a mini acog, red dot or just keep the irons.
