I started a thread about this earlier today on several different forums, Got some good feedback so I broke out the ol hack saw and got to work.

I started with a junk upper, I believe it was a colt car15 that was cut down and then somebody pinned a cheap slip on flash hidder to the end, it wiggled and the fit was sloppy so.....why not.

While were on all things mini....

I dont understand why you didn't just send the barrel to ADCO in the first place and have it cut down to 10.3" and threaded, It would have only cost you $65 assuming you have the tools to pull the barrel yourself. And they would have drilled the gas port to the correct size free of charge

I think it is interesting, and screw the people complaining about the stamp, or sending it off. You had a beater upper and decided to try something, I don't get wtf everyone's problem is.

To the OP I think  it is interesting, slow work with the gas port, but if you drill it eventually it will cycle.  You can always drill more, but much harder if you drill too much. In the end if you totally dick it up and can't make it work, send it to ADCO and they will get it going for you.

OP dont explain anything to anybody about the tax stamp..all the bitches complaining about you not having a tax stamp..im glad they are not your neighbors you would already probably have the police at your door to see if you did have a tax stamp.....buisy body gun owners are the worst gun owners and people..they worry about everything but minding their own buisness.Nice weapons love the Browning .50.As far as the PUG thats one way to get the barrel down to 10 inches or to get the FSB off without having to unpin the flash hider

Yup. It's really shocking how many people on here are busybody do-gooders

Ya know, I dont think I posted this little project on here because I did not want to hear anybodies mouth but here goes.....

GLOCK CHOP.....

It looks 100% better today, I got rid of the mag extension and took all the paint off of it.

Note the messed up plastic around the pin holes.....it was because of this...

I really dont think I am right away.

I've steepled enough of them and it gets boreing after a while, very time consuming. The 23 feels great (my buddy did that particular gun) but its a gen 3, I dont think I will like the profile of a gen 2 being steepled.

Tailo, kudos to you.

Its your firearms, its your business.

BUT putting up your AR-chop here in ARF is like going to a Prius meet with a Humvee and expect to be welcomed.

+1 to everything said here. It's your stuff, do as you please with it. It's not as if you chopped something extremely rare.

ETA: But all that said, I can't help but wonder about the crown on that thing.

just a few questions .
what type of hacksaw frame is that?
what type of blade did you use and what was the teeth per inch count ?
and finally  is your gunsmith shop named guns and anvil repair ?
I cant really say a lot since I got frustrated and removed a rock river free float tube with a 24 inch pipe wrench .

have fun and post vids when you have them.

Got to the range today to find that my SD card was missing from my camera.....

BUT

I had enough internal memory for ONE video..... Took another on my cell phone but I'll have to get on my laptop to put it on.

The PUG lives and breathes fire. I was limited on time but I put 4 mags down it with out a hitch. As for accuracy, its not as good as my 11.5 but its good enough to hit a chest size target at 100 yards. I suspect with a proper crown job that it will do alittle better.

To all the nay sayers that said it would not work

You can barely see a decent sized flame coming out of that thing.
Link Posted: 7/27/2011 6:52:46 PM EDT
[#34]
It was 12

Actually the main reasion you dont see any flame is because the camera was set on its lowest setting so I could get as much time as I could. You could see a pretty good fireball almost every round if you were there.

I'll be more prepaired next time and I'll have some decent pictures.

You sir, are a mad scientist with a hack saw.

I respect that.

Well done on sticking to your guns on this project.  (pun intended)

BTW, I do NOT want  you as my number two man in the stack.  Nomex be damned, I'd be fried golden brown by the muzzle flash from that thing if you shot past me!

Why not just shoot it into space? You would likely get it back sooner than Randall will return it.
