Ta31 was my fave on the b2. I had tried a 553, aimpoint pro, and a nxs 2.5-10 before going Acog.

Nice.  My Elcan just came off for a exps3, gonna try that for a while.  Acogs are awesome though, I have one on my Scar17.

Random question but I have been hearing rumblings that surefire lost their contract for suppressors to oss.  Can anyone confirm that before I go buy a socom suppressor?

Any leads on RIS FSPs?  Black is totally fine... I've been looking on the EE but I've either been too slow or the price has been too high ($400+ for a black FSP).

Trying to get one by early November to get a 6.8 build together for hunting in Thanksgiving when I go see family in Georgia on 500 acres.

Black should be in the $300s.  Not that people don't charge more, but the prices I've seen have been steady $400-$500.  Although someone just sold a mk18 ris ii for $250... I was about 30 minutes too late on that one.

The first 3 posts don't register a new page (they haven't for about as long as I can remember). They said the only way to fix it, is to trash the thread and start over.

I haven't heard that, but I'd consider it highly unlikely that Surefire lost their contract.

Id say unlikely as well. On top of that The Surefire Socom can is awesome and I would buy with confidence!

it's funny how on the interwebz i see tons of reviews saying how SF cans are inferior, but the guys who use them say they're great (not baiting you or anything! just something i've noticed lately that i've been reading up on cans a lot)

Is the RIS FSP hard to install?  Or should I send to ADCO?

I've never installed a barrel/free float rail myself before - just drop-ins and minor AR work.

I've also got a 3 prong flash hider to get installed so I'm thinking it might be simpler to just send it all off at once.

It's the makings of a Stag 5H 6.8 block II clone.

NFA wait times are kind of "fire and forget" right now I think. I'm just over my 4mo mark on my first e-filed Form 1. So we'll see.

It's not hard, just a bit of a PITA because of the FSB. If you decide to do it we can walk you through it.

So, I bought a 14.5" Colt M4A1 socom barrel, but the threads are fubar.

Adco wants $155 to fix it, do I have any other options?
