That is the good, juicy and classic stuff right there.
And that IS money. You haven't spent your money, you simply converted it into a different form as those classics will never go away and they convert into cash the next day you want them to.

Good stuff.

12.5. Never really came into fruition tho, beyond a very low amount of them that DD produced. Stickman had one last I checked, not sure if he still does but I remember everybody trying to buy it off him

IIRC he sold it to someone who then did a MK18 build and posted pics.  But that was a couple hundred pages ago, or maybe not.  This thread moves so fast.  It was a non FSP version.

I know he was holding out and rejecting offers left and right so you are probable correct.  But I still thought I saw someone post up some non Stick pics of one in the MK18 thread back when the "FSB MK18/chopped RIS II FSP" clones were getting to be pretty big.

Got to work on these guns belonging to my son's ODA in Baghdad last summer.  He stepped down to go to SWC just before they deployed or else we would have been in Iraq together for another tour.

IIRC I just rebarreled that middle 14.5"

I dig your set ups.  I gotta say I have never held or used a ModH but it seems that theses variable scoped Socom barreled BlockII's could fill the role/give them a run for their money pretty well.

Still doesn't mean I don't want to clone a Mod H, but thats what I keep telling myself and why I stay the hell out of that thread.

Indeed colt socom barrels are the bees knees the Nf 2.5x10x24 is the only scope i know with such a compact low profile with 10x magnification. The bottom recce setup up is a little front heavy but its not too bad.

I hear that on the front end weight and barrel.  I love my Colt Socom although I have only been able to push it out to 200.  And to be honest the barrel is probably still better than I am.  Makes it very fun to shoot for sure.  Also I got to say I dig your set up, I had an MRDS same location on mine, but like you said she is already a front heavy pig.  I figured I would just drop down to 1x if I ever really wanted to shoot up close.  Had a B5 too, but am just a sucker for the waffle and shoot it mostly benched with the bipod anyways.

the fsp block 2 actually has a centurion 14.7 lightweight barrel, it used to have a BCM socom but i decided to lighten the load a bit and i wanted to see if their other barrels were as amazing as their mk12 barrels. Just recently switched it out waiting till after i move to hit the range hard and break in the new barrel.

I agree with this... clone stuff holds its value quit well... think of it as an investment you can enjoy, the return is hit or miss, but hell, if you got into RIS IIs a few years ago and sold the ones you didn't want/use, well, its better than any other investments Ive got going on...

I never saw one on a block II... on 1.5s or M4 Carbines for sure... we had a few eotechs floating around in the arms room, 552s actually, and some of the pathfinders attached to the GSAB aviation unit used them, but it was Afghanistan and they got ditched for ACOGs.

Geissele Mk4 "Trident". Discontinued due to the too-large cooling vents at the 4 and 8 o'clock positions where a finger could get caught and/or touch the barrel.

Just need a few things more and my M4A1 cloned from Level Zero Heroes will be complete.

Just need a scout, and will add a docter sight to the top of the Elcan. I won't say I have the worst luck with the ATF, but it seems like paper Form 1s is the last priority so my M203 is about to cross over a year pending.
