Got a Leupold Mark 4 2.5-8x36 M2 for my wannabe MK12 Mod 0. Should I use it or stick with the less clone correct (because MK12 Mod 1) Nightforce 2.5-10x24 I'm currently using? Decisions, decisions

I think the NF is a superior optic but clone correctness should come above all else

I don't think there will be a shit storm, this is normally a pretty civil thread.  I've had excellent results with my douglass barrel which does outperform my BA barrel by a small amount.  I expect that I will have shot out the douglass barrel by the end of the year and will replace it with a criterion.

That's what i just received from them.  I was momentarily very excited and confused haha.  I had no idea they added the wheel back.

I've read that BA uses Douglas blanks, does anyone know whether that's the case?

Thought I'd let everyone know I have a TS30-A2 for sale in the EE if you were looking for one.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the barrels that folks of been using in this thread.  I just  go with whichever deal is best for you. Just ensure whichever you choose it's installed and all other components are installed/set up properly.

I have had great luck with my Douglas Barrel I got from HCS. It has been very reliable and it groups as good as i allow it too. It's more accurate than I am. As far as the demensions go I can't speak to turns allowed for the can bc I'm still waiting for that

Sorry, meant Ballistic Advantage. I've read on the interwebs that they use Douglas blanks but never found a primary source on it, just the usual circlejerk firing squad that may or may not be accurate.

10-4, would be nice to know. Their prices are rock-bottom. Kinda hard to imagine them using Douglas blanks but maybe...

I think they need to read this thread and understand how important correctness is. You think they would get it when you have people making front sight towers for wheeled fsgb's when they offer one.

To take the PRI fsgb apart as in take the sight tower off, would I just drive the silver pin out of it or is there another trick to it?

That's all there is to it. Drive it out from the front.  Reassembly is a tad bit annoying with the spring.

Thanks. I'm sending the towers to braceman to get the address engraved.

Painstakingly slow progress. Had to drop 5k on A/C which took away from the Mod Juan plan's.

Still need:

- Rattle can treatment
- TS30/NF x32/or even 3-15x50 (if anyone has a bead on a decent deal let me know).
- Ergo grip
- KAC Set and SSA-E (in parts bin currently)
- KAC Bipod adapter
- KAC grip.

Swapped more KAC and more NF onto the Mod1 this weekend. I've since abandoned the SR build and decided to swap some of those parts in. No hate for the Badger mount but I just loved the idea of using the 300m SR25 recce rail and a pair of medium NF rings so here it is. And an ambi safety.

Debated throwing an offer on that. The guy had it up before at like $750. But I wanted a little more magnification to see how far I can stretch this thing when it's finished.

Any definite way to tell the difference between an OPS inc and AEM Brake and collar? I have a set that I got off the EE saying it was an OPS inc and I believe the person just want to confirm it before throwing it up on the EE.

I painted the mod 0 yesterday and some how almost perfectly matched the color of the mod 1.  No uneasy feat considering I followed the method of "just keep overspraying OD & brown until the shade looks right"
