This has always been my favorite gun to play with hands down. Recently I had an extra SBR lower laying around and figured I would see what kind of creativity the men at PRI could pool together for a MK12 SBR.

They did not fail me. They put on a Gen 2 handguard and a custom PEQ rail trimmed to fit the 11.5" barrel. Looks fantastic and is a blast to shoot. Ridiculously loud with the AE brake and no can. Here's some pics.

Great choices, easy choice IMO, SSA in MK18 and SSA-E in MK12

Edit, I guess I could say why - I put the same mine, SSA-E is generally considered better for precision work, while the SSA is just a great all around trigger that can do anything, really.

Thanks gents. The guys at PRI are solid cats and did me right. I lack the skillset to put something like that together.

My non clone worthy Mod 0. Ringing 4" wide steel plates at 210yds. Also took out a box of clays and they didn't survive either. Even at only 8x the Mk4 makes it easy as hell to hit small targets. she may not appease the hardcore cloners here but at least I have the right glass and can

It's a beyer barrel and cmmg bcg. It's not a conversion, it's a dedicated 22 upper.

Main thing, less is more. If you're going for the "look" in clone threads, don't overdo it with being anal and doing 5 coats with dry time etc. Mask the few important bits like optics/muzzle, close the dust cover, and spray that bitch. Flip the safety to eliminate selector dong. Don't overdo the top color or patterns either. Then just use it as oft as ye can and let the paint wear off.

Never been my cup of tea.

Went back up to my spot for the weekend. I got tired of hitting the steel so i started wacking smalp rocks up on the 600yd berm.

So far these Hornady 75gr otm stlye bullets rock. The tip is much more uniform and it has a pointier shape than the sierra. I now have 3 choices to run :)

This rifle is just.....so damn good. I really wish someone offered this upper complete so guys could just hop on the Holland train.

Pic thread: new paint job is all worn in now :)

I was just on PRIs website the other day. Had them build my SBR from a few posts back. Anyway, they do make a Holland upper. Just dump the sights and have them put the collar and brake on. Or do it yourself.

If I knew more about the Holland when I built my MK12 Mod 0, I may have got on that train. I guess I'll need to build another one.

LOL that's pretty good, I didn't even notice the first time.  Just guys with A1 lowers - bunch of pics like that over the past two weeks.  I thought about posting one, but have no A1 sauce, no steak sauce of any kind in this house - it if needs steak sauce somebody didn't prepare it correctly. :).

First time with the 2.5-8x32 today, I am a little disappointed with the 2.5-8 eye relief, thought it would be better for the fixed stock. May have to with an "in the wild" mount and switch over to an LT-104 and push it forward some more... Esp since I"ll be swapping the A2 for a D-type as soon as it arrives.

On the plus side, the MK18 build shoots fantastic.  H2 and Springco Blue un-suppressed is perfect - hoping it runs as well when the socom-rc is released from jail.

Edit dang no pics, it was rainy today, so these older ones will have to do - just comparison pics for the two scopes.  Lot less scope body with the 2.5-8 :).

The eye relief on the Mod 1 I believe is why things like the LaRue LT104 were invented, along with the S&B Short Dot for M4s the cool guys were running.

Yeah it's odd I had no issues with the 3.5-10, and though the 2-5-8 was supposed to have more eye relief - guess I was mistaken, or had it backwards maybe.  Anyway, it's do-able, but barely.  I think when I put the D-type on there it will be more of an issue.

This thread is funny like that. Usually a spec upper us all that is required for drooling to occur.

All i see is an a2 lower fuckin up an otherwise perfect early mod 0 up there....but hey, thats just me.

I would definitely let the not 100% correct thing bother you....its what ends up making a perfect clone.....perfect. I am ALMOST there because of this mantra. The can is the last part...and right now in my life it is NOT gonna happen.

*****Now, everyone please point out my can. After that i can throw on the ops brake, take a pic, post it here, and be 100% correct. So please.....make sure u at least got a rollmarked A1 before ya come atcha boy.  Kthx.

Too many rainbows and unicorns for us to maintain a spec thread in here. The mk18 thread is dead nuts "be spec or GTFO".

I just wanna know this: what is so mean and bad about being speck?
