I'll start with the upper and run it off of my DDMK18 lower for now since I can't have an upper sitting around without shooting it, so I can start putting that lower together over time. I'm on the fence for getting a MK4 or the NightForce 2.5-10x24. I do like the way the MK4 looks on the rifle compared to the NF but that glass is pretty slick. |

I was planning on using my M4 Carbine LE lower, but if the Brownells BRN-16A1 is correct I will go ahead and pick one up - assuming it will work with an Cold SP63528 M4 upper? The Description seems to indicate so. |

I though an Atlas on a MK12 was faux-pas, do the purists hassle you :). Haha, yes, it's just twine and I originally got the idea from LS. I was listening to a podcast where one of the SEAL consultants for the movie talked about it and thought I'd try it since I didn't necessarily want to paint my can. It's worked really well, it certainly does a nice job w/ camo and as an added benefit it keeps the can cool enough to the touch that I can always handle it bare handed. Since I never use my unpainted Mod 1 anymore I might still just paint the can, but for now this works great. |

I though an Atlas on a MK12 was faux-pas, do the purists hassle you :). Atlas on a Holland is GTG IMO. I like to think of the Holland as the "Mk 12 modernized". http://i.imgur.com/SxZ3Cbq.jpg http://i.imgur.com/zr2wAZ1.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7132/27033920651_e3013bdf14_o.jpg The bi-pod ads a lot of weight. I just finished getting mine mocked up sans optic. Had the Harris on it and thought "damn this is heavier than expected". I pulled it off and was amazed at how much better it felt. I think I'll go without. Any one know the weights of the Harris v. Atlas? They both look to be around 13oz. |

I just got a similar pm from a fella. Told him I'd put him on the list. Bad thing for him, he's #6 on it. Good thing for you, you are #1. |
