Yes, if you want other people to be able to use your stuff when you're not around.

Absolutely set up a trust. And definitely do it now. Throw that PA scope on it and shoot until you have the coin for the NF/LT combo and you'll be glad you did.

You guys have me sold. I'm waiting to make sure this freelance job goes through and then I'm shopping. Talked to a lawyer buddy today and another thats a dealer about the subject. I'll get moving on the trust. Where did you guys go to buy your aem5? I've talked to Allen on the phone and he was a good guy to talk to. Said he had some knurled ones in stock. Adco's pricing seems to be the best I can find...

As mentioned in the Ops/AE thread, check out High Caliber Sales. I would jump at the chance to get a knurled can.

I'll follow up with them and Allen to see where he recommends. I think I'll have him turn me a custom long collar as well for my BA barrel. Not sure the contour is completely accurate. Have you guys that have used Ballistic Advantage been good to go or have you had issues?

My buddy who is a lawyer can take care of that as well. It's great to have friends!

Question,

So if I was to buy a Bravo company mk12 mod bravo 1R (KAC RAS) complete upper , would this be acceptable for a clone mod 1?

That's something like I had planned to do with my 1968 M16A1 engraved lower, the Mk12 Mod 1 Upper assy and a Mk18/M4CQB upper assy in a Pelican 1720 case.   Sort of like an early Mk18 gun kit with the Special Purpose Receiver to reach out, reach out and touch someone.

They usually have a C near the forge mark

Typically a big C forged into the upper near the actual forge mark.

Na, A1 don't look right on a 308. I tried, looks off. I've got an M16 A1 type D stock on my 556 mod1....I love it. I look at pics of when I had the A2 on her and she looked weird to me now.

I think it would look good with the PRS, not to mention the ability to make the stock fully customized to me, not having to build it up to get a solid cheek weld, or guess where I had my cheek while finding proper eye relief. Consistency equals repeatability equals bullet holes being very close together. I'm also a big fan of the way the ACE looks on Hollies, but that's just my 2 pennies.

So.......good news:

I qualify for the Pell and fafsa grants. Whenever they pass the PA budget i will have something like 6k coming to me. This will allow me to pay for anything in school and it is for furthuring my education. I go to therapy once a week or more and i feel that using this grant to pay for some quiet time therapy will really allow me to further my education and mental state.

And by weekly therapy i mean the range. And by quiet time i mean a knurled AEM 5. And now we wait for the budget to be passed.

Pic thread. Went out today. Painted my spotter. Hit 300m in snow. 400m hit too :P

And by weekly therapy i mean the range. And by quiet time i mean a knurled AEM 5. And now we wait for the budget to be passed.

Pic thread. Went out today. Painted my spotter. Hit 300m in snow. 400m hit too :P

Lol, just make sure you finish school, otherwise you have to pay those Grants back.  I wish I had a range like that.  Nice shooting by the way.

As lazy as I am, I'm actually thinking of applying to some colleges as well. I figure it's about damn time. Maybe I'll check those out.

I guess Leupold doesn't produce the original scope for the Mod 0 and Mod 1? What's the next closest thing to it, that they do produce? I don't like hunting for shit on EE, gunbroker and always paying a premium for it because it's "rare".

See, I thought the TS30 line was completely done? I can't find it on their website or anything. And all the non-auction sites have it as "out of stock"

They lumped it in with the standard Mk4 on the site - https://www.leupold.com/hunting-shooting/scopes/mark-4-mrt-riflescopes/mark-4-2-5-8x36mm-mrt-m2-illum-reticle/

Listed as in stock at
http://www.eurooptic.com/leupold-mark-4-mrt-2-5-8x36-m2-ts-30-a2-rifle-scope-30mm-tube-illum-tmr-112633.aspx
http://www.opticsplanet.com/leupold-mark4-25-8x36mm-mr-t-m2-illuminated-reticle-tactical-scope.html  (Third one down)
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Leupold-112633-Mark-4-MR-T-2.5-8x36mm-M2-Mte-Ill/23250291
http://www.amazon.com/Leupold-112633-Mark4-MR-2-5-8x36mm/dp/B007KKOOZA

Though somewhat amusing how none show a TS30A2 for the stock picture. Not even Leupold's own site.

Leupold 2.5-8x36 Mark 4 MR/T 30mm Riflescope (*****This is the TS-30A2*****)

The only difference between the two, is that the TS-30A2 comes with 5.56 77gr turret caps, has alignment etchings on the tube (not really needed) and battery cap lanyard...which eventually breaks.

The non TS-30A2 MR/T is functionally the same. The turret knobs are both .5 MOA increments, however it comes with .308 168gr calibrated caps.

BOTH show markings ever 1/2 MOA, but also have markings for the associated caliber.

Mk12 clone wars man. this might not be the game for you if you don't wanna do that, because that IS how you get a proper MK12 and it's the chase that makes it awesome. The fun is getting it at a GOOD price :)
-I def will not be dropping out of school...the GI Bill pays for it and I am loving it. no worries

Sometimes I love Ft Campbell...

Picked up a SF scout ultra with a KX2C head and a "authentically" used gen 1 SOPMOD stock for under $90! Every once and awhile you get one by those mil surplus stores.

Is this the proper scope for a MK12: Mark 4 MR/T 2.5-8x36mm (30mm) M2 - TS-30 A2 Matte Illum. TMR I can get one for a very nice price but don't want to buy it if it's the wrong one. This is my other options: Mark 4 MR/T 2.5-8x36mm (30mm) M2 Matte Illum. TMR
