Yep. Not sure I could do it. That's why I need to find one already painted.

I'm not sure who/what to ask if I called PRI, but I would really like to know more about this one.

The SEAL Recce rifle and the ModH are "in house" carbine builds of the Mod1 and the Mod0. Mind blown.

Shoot Tony Holdren a message at [email protected]

I have no idea if he's still with the company or if he was a part of the company at the time of your handguard, but he's the sales and marketing manager and a good guy. Maybe he can set you down the correct path.

While we are in the mood for emailing...

Anyone RECENTLY asked Mr Swan if he would make us a batch of #38s? I really REALLY need a one of the every other rails. Wouldn't mind havin a PEQ 2 version too...

I'd be happy to give it a go.

Give 'em a call. You may get surprised.  Happened to some others pretty recently.

I really need to go to bed. I've been doing some late night window shopping that turned into a wallet drainer. Saw this on eBay and couldn't resist.

Like Hunter said; some of us called them and picked up NIW PEQ-2-3's and even a handful of brand new "full rail" #38 MOD's several months ago.

You never know what they might have layin' around.

Got this from Outlaw185's Instagram. Looks to be a Mk12 Mod 1 upper. The resolution isn't great (and I can't find a higher-res version), so I can't tell if it's a M4A1 lower or not.

ETA: I don't recall seeing this one before. If it's a re-post, then my bad.

Low res or not, I feel like my eye spies an M4 contour near the front takedown and maybe a CQD sling plate in the rear? Don't color me shocked though, I'd never have been surprised Mk12 uppers found their way onto M4 lowers. I mean if the Geissele triggers are getting into more M4 lowers it makes sense. Why not just tote an upper along with your CQBR and M4A1 uppers?

Firstly it was for a dimpling jig, and I need a gas block and tube anyways so I added them on. I'm snagging a Ballistic barrel so I'm not as concerned with doing a Spec Mod H, also since I have the early upper I'm not as picky about the Mod H being perfect. It's going to wear my AAC can too, so using an SLR block doesn't mean much in the long run versus a PRI. I'm not doing an SLR adjustable, just their plain .750 block.

Fo show. Just trying to give the grip pod lovers some false hope so that a feller like yourself could destroy their dreams

Can't deny it, grip-pods work as either a vert grip or a bipod, but due to location on the rail of where you would want either of the 2, it sucks at being a good vert grip and bipod at the same time. If that made sense.

LOL at the grip pods.  We used to use them on our SAWs and some of our MK18s.  But we lost a bit of "respect" with them on the shortys.  I actually ran into the guy that made/designed them at the range here in town.  He came over to strike up a conversation about them, asking a bunch of user feedback questions.  I didn't know he was "the" guy until the end of the conversation.  Good thing I didn't badmouth them.

In other news my AEM5 was approved on Sunday  Now I just have to wait for USPS to make their way to my FFL.

Pic thread.  (shitty pic, but pic none the less.)

I think I'll stick with the harris.

Looks like possibly a grip pod too...

Disagree, I see a bipod, PEQ, and a TD grip. Why have a grip pod when you have a Harris on there?

Fo show. Just trying to give the grip pod lovers some false hope so that a feller like yourself could destroy their dreams

Edit: can't wait to see the holland. I love mine now that I got a little better glass and the can. What glass are you going with?

For now, an SWFA 3-9. I'll be putting it in my Larue SPR -S with the built in cant, and my 1-4 will go in a Burris PEPR. The SWFA has more elevation travel than my Bushnell does on the early rifle, and the extra elevation should help on the 16".

Grip pod has its uses. For an M4 or even an A4, handy to have. MK12, maybe not. On a Mod H it almost makes sense, blend of carbine and precision role. I say ALMOST though because as mentioned ideal bipod placement might not be ideal grip placement.

Still do.  Just to fuck with people it goes on once in a while.

(i also take it to the range as it works well for a field-expedient support for when kids shoot stuff; I often offer to let younger kids send a mag thru something--with parental concurrence of course--if they're eyeballing it pretty hard)

Does anyone know where I can get an A1 style lower(Nodak Spud, Mckay, etc..)? Looks like Nodak will be 6+ months and its one of the last pieces I need for my Mod 1. I'd like to get one sooner if possible. Thanks

Yep these were mine. I ordered them straight from A.R.M.S. lat week. I called and they told me they just got the #22 TRC in the day before. I just checked and they are still showing out of stock on their website. It might be a good idea just to call. They would not fit my scope so I figured someone would want them.

That being said, I just finished building my Mod 0. I also built a Mod 0 with retro GenII parts for a buddy of mine at the same time. I can clearly see why they went to the GenIII forearm. I do have the collar for the AEM suppressor but it is just for show. The muzzle brake is for a SilencerCo Saker so the OPS Inc was not an option. The Saker is still at the dealer and hopefully should be released in the next few weeks. The barrel is WOA and the scope as a 4x12 Mark AR. The bipod mount is Larue. The rest is pretty much to spec. I had the barrel Ceracoated black by Aaron Hayes of Hayes Custom Guns. Aaron and his brother Ben do top notch work. I also used the #22H rings. The #22M rings did not work with the scope and rear sight at all.

I have always built my own lowers but this is the first group up upper i have built. Needless to say I will never buy another assembled upper again.

It's really similar looking to parts of Yosemite out here. Tranquil as fuck.

That paint too- bears repeating.

Well, this gem showed up in my mailbox outta the clear-blue today. My card was charged $64.19, which I'm assuming was the SECOND time I ordered the turret. The first time was waaaaay back last year and I never heard from Leupold nor saw the turret. Then I re-ordered it and I guess this is for the second one. Don't need two turrets, especially not two that aren't marked how I specified so I might try and send them both back, though this one looks a little better. [shrugs]

The stories I have read here are the reason I have yet to order custom turrets. You would think they could figure it out since most people want them labeled the same when it comes to MK12's

I thought we had finally set them straight. It's unfortunate that they are still screwing these up. Took me two tries.

Not only that but the amount of time it took for them to send me the first one is . Add to that how fucked up the engravings are and it's just completely unacceptable.

You would think a company like Leupold would have their shit together.  Sad really.....
