The Leupold got replaced with the 2.5x10x24 Nightforce with zero stop. Don't use the ARMS ring, they are shit. Get a good set of non quick detach rings and torque them down.

LaRue mounts, now 2.5-10x24 on early SPRs, what will the world come to next?

Will we see a x32 on an issued Mk12 this year?

Well for now I have to put my quest for perfection on hold. There are still a couple of things that need to be addressed but I will take care of those when the funds allow. I still need to track down a pre ban a1 pattern lower and a send my barrel off for flats and switch my block out for a set screw version. As it stands here is the build list.

Colt Alcoa Forge "AF" M4 upper receiver
Colt m16 bcg
Mil spec charging handle
HCS Douglas barrel
PRI gen 3 hand guard with 8.5" bottom rail
Ops Inc brake and thread protector with Allen Engineering long collar
Original manufacture PRI non wheeled sight tower with full address, currently sitting on a crossbolt block
Colt rifle length gas tube
A.R.M.S. #38 spr peq-2-3 swan sleeve with winged logo
A.R.M.S. #40 rear sight with horizon line aperture and wingless logo
A.R.M.S. #22m non lever stop rings with new production TRC and early production TRR with wingless logo
A.R.M.S. #32 non lever stop bipod adapter with winged logo
Harris S-BRM bipod with notched legs
KMW pod loc
Leupold MK4 2.5-8x36 MR-T with M2 turrets and illuminated TMR reticle. 77gr SMK m2 knob installed.
KAC swivel stud sling mount
Stag Arms lower reciever (not correct but it's registered and all I have at the moment)
Mil spec LPK
Geiselle G2S trigger
Specialized Armament ambi safety long/long
Colt a1 grip
A1 type d stock
BCM rifle buffer, spring and receiver extension

When wingless logo parts come up, within reason, I will swap those parts out for more authenticity. Anyway, thanks to the guys in the thread who have supplied parts and knowledge to help me get to this point. More to follow!

Just scored a real ops inc. Brake and collar from Dennis Todd at a local gunshow. I know...so what...but it's a small win for team vagpunisher.

I decided to put together a MK12 Mod 1 Recce Seal Inspired. I built it on the cheap with a PSA Freedom kit w/16stainless barrel.

I bought a rail from Johnnymoses on the EE and then bought my buddies upper because his dog needed surgery on his teeth. Well I am a animal lover(not in that way) so I bought his upper and had some left over parts. After seeing this rifle in the Recce forum and then the Mod H rifles I decided to just do it on the cheap.

Not sure if it's been posted cause I'm a lazy cockweasel, but White Oak ops-contoured SPR tubes are on sale for 239 at Brownells.

I figure that's a fairly decent price point, given their penchant for shooting pretty okay.

A little Sunday gunday with the mod 1. Was trying some ammo out to see what it likes and PMC X-Tac 77 gr does decent.

Of course I forgot my shooting bags and I have yet to order a BRMS.

Thanks man! I was hoping to have it done by page 1000 but I don't think I'm gonna make it. I have had some stuff come up that needs to get done around the house and spending $800-900 on a pre ban a1 pattern lower isn't happening for a little while. And I'm not gonna pull the barrel for flats until I have the a1 lower in hand.

Even if it's a NightFighter?

Then what's the best paint for the rubber grip and PVS objective cover?

I tried an A1 on the Mod0 as well as a PRS, but the adjustability of the SOPMOD is king when you use different shooting positions as well as cold weather gear, chest rig, and the like.
It would be nice if you could adjust the cant of the buttplate, but not a big factor on a 556 rifle anyway.
The higher cheek weld (ARMS #35) doesn't bother me, matches the PVS better, holds better zero than the 22M rings, but I might add a padded cheek riser.
All shooters are different, but the 22M rings are the lowest I can go before accuracy suffers, but higher mounts don't give me that problem.

Thanks for the compliments, my friends.

22CF-30 may be the dewey rod with the female threaded end. On the 22C-30 the threads are male. These usually include the brass adapter to attach the jag to.

Dudes, here's something that will brighten everyone's day. So PRI is in the process of making reproduction thumbwheel fsb. I'm told that they will be ready for purchase in about 2-3 weeks. No word yet on pricing or how long these will be produced.  Here's some pics that I got from Tony at PRI.  Tony tells me that only a trained eye would be able to tell the difference from the originals.
