Optics Planet has a good deal with 10% off right now. Or stick with the more traditional Mk4 ?

Pri has sales all the time, if you are going for clone correctness, bcm sells them with the 8.5" bottom rail for the same price as pri at normal price. Would save you from having to buy the longer bottom rail later.

Chopped the TRR.. Kinda like how it sits, over when it was sitting on top of the front ARMS ring.. Wasn't sure if I was feeling it or not, or wether I'd ditch the ARMS itself and go back to a Larue, pretty happy with it.. Plus I'm still waiting for my A1 Stock to arrive..

PLEASE NOTE: Don't mind the lower.. Just a spare Lower sitting around, mocked it up just for the picture..

I've seen a few photos of KAC QD sling endplates on MK12s. I've also seen some of the CQD endplates.

Do either of these belong on a MK12 Mod 0 or Mod H? I like to attach a sling close to the receiver if possible...

Lmao. Surprisingly how well it looks the part, though.

I once put together a Mod 1 upper using a Spike's receiver, BA barrel, and of course the spec KAC handguard, front and rear sights. Had it sitting on one of the Spike's FLHTF lowers with the state of Florida logo.  Wanted to go as far as I could toward all Florida components (At least, Florida based. I'm sure the receivers were produced out of state) but I traded it off before I could finish the goal.

Nodak Spud A1 80% or pick up a regular A2 style and have braceman reprofile and engrave.

I've thought about Nodak but it says you need to drill out the safety detent. That makes me a little nervous. Any jigs include that? Who makes the best a2s or do I just get a cerro forge since they're pretty much all the same?

Jig's should include that. I sent off some lowers from Tactical Machining to be done. Only like $40 a lower, Should be around $200 to re-profile and engrave from Braceman. Still trying to figure out where to anodize though.

like most do. and most arent correct.

$145 for a1 reprofile and engravings of your choice is HARDLY much in this game. i had a local guy duracoat mine since i went with Hydra-Matic and they were coated in a crappy black finish and it just looks right with a matte duracoat.

Anyway, I know a lot of you have been looking for the TM for the MK12 Mod1. I happened to rehost it for you all to download at this link:

It's good for 90 days. I uploaded it this morning.

Anyway, since it's a pic thread, I figured I'd contribute a few of my, not nearly as perfect as y'alls, own.

I went with a BCM Mk12 Upper. I assumed when I installed the collar that it was contoured slightly different than a true Mk12 contour, but now I don't know. Maybe someone can weigh in. If the collar was moved back to fsb (which I don't know how I could as it seemed pretty damn snug against the collar on the barrel, but I certainly could have messed it up somehow) it seems like the gap between the brake and the collar would be too wide.

Try backing the set screw completely out and then seating the collar. It may just not be seated all the way. Sometimes the set screw gets hung up of it isn't backed out far enough.

I think that's exactly what happened.  The set screw was landing on the barrel lip instead of the shoulder of the collar.  I'll take a look!

Random side note for you guys, saw on the FB of a guy I was on guard detail with, looks like he had a Mod 1 in Afghanistan with an M4 stock. This would be a Marine rifle. Also was bridging the gap. It's very possible he dropped it onto an M4 or M4A1 lower. Haven't heard back so I'm not going to post the pic just yet, but it's out there.

FB group buddy found a pic I missed.

2.5-10x24 on an early SPR, posted as a work gun on Sniper's hide with the comment:

Here is a pic of my work Mod 0, It workie so good, just couldn't bring myself to replace it with a Mod 1

The Leupold got replaced with the 2.5x10x24 Nightforce with zero stop. Don't use the ARMS ring, they are shit. Get a good set of non quick detach rings and torque them down.

LaRue mounts, now 2.5-10x24 on early SPRs, what will the world come to next?

Will we see a x32 on an issued Mk12 this year?
