I just got my rifle together last week. I went out last week and put 60 rds thru it before work. I went to the range Sat and put about 150 more thru it.  I got home and started to clean it and noticed some bare metal spots inside the upper. Is this normal wear and tear or something I should be concerned about?

Here are some pics of what I am talking about.

This is the main spot that I noticed first. (First 2 pics)

Looks like some of the anodizing is coming off, I wouldn't worry about it.

Normal. Same thing on the inside of my new Colt 6520 with less than 100 rds through it:

Its a tool, it gets used, as they get used, they will get marked up. Nothing to worry about.

It looks normal,

BTW, are using steel wool to clean in there? It looks like little strands of steel wool have remained behind after cleaning.

No steel wool for me. it's fuzz from a cheap ass cleaning cloth that I wont be using again.
