Thanks for the compliment. I went quality vs. quantity a few years ago and started selling off stuff I didn't like or wasn't happy with. I still have a lot more to get until I'll be happy though...

Not my first choices if everything else was available but going with the thought that if shit goes south these calibers would be the most plentiful. I also believe in something that parts may be available for even if it's not my favorite weapon, as such I would go with my SBR AR with an extra longer upper and my 92FS...pics pending.

When you pick up riflels of the fallen, you will also acquire their ammo. You just need enough to get started.

That was kind of my point...I want my rifle that I am used to and have set up the way I want but I also want to be able to scrounge ammo from whatever source it may come. It seems like a 6.8, 357 Sig, what have you is going to be hard to find if need be. I guess you better hope you shoot the right bad guy or that he has a weapon you like better than yours!

This thread has many awesome rifles. For SHTF, I stick with KISS, but I'm old school.

Well, since a lot of guys are showing all their SHTF rifles and not just the first one that they're going to grab, here are most of my SHTF weapons, some of them was lost in a boating accident.

My same Colt 6721 that I posted in page 1 of this same thread but older pic

My same LMT carbine in page 1

Same LMT carbine but this pic shows with black Magpul and KAC furniture

Colt USGI M-16A2 upper, M-16A2 buttstock group on my Colt MT6601 Match Target HBAR lower receiver

RRA A4 9mm carbine

Steyr AUG A1 (not an AUG-P) with factory Steyr M-16 NATO magazine conversion stock so I could use my AR mags

Steyr AUG A1

IMI Galil AR model 386 16" carbine

PolyTech AKS-762

PolyTech AKS-762 folding stock

PolyTech rare version 56-2 type model AKS47/2 rifle with a longer Galil type folding stock

Colt 1911 Gov't Model with Wilson Combat 6" match barrel and compensator

Colt 1911 Lightweight Officers ACP

Not shown (no pics yet):

Being that a SKS and the AR15 dont use the same ammo. I wouldnt consider that a good backup.
A good backup for a SKS would be another SKS, and a good back up for a AR would be another AR.
Seems you have the second part covered. The whole one is none and two is one principle.
