Just noticed this question. It is an old Parallax Tactical Rail. Works with MOE attachments. I have two of them, this one and another one on a Beowulf. I have since switched over to URX 3 for all my other builds.

Got it back with a brand new barrel. Former was a SS PSA 16" 223 wylde barrel. PSA replaced it with their fluted 18" match barrel in 223 wylde. Which I believe has turned my Recce into a SPR (or as I call it, a poor man's mk12..) Thanks PSA, can't wait to shoot it.

Got a PSA match fluted barrel in 16 inches... Holy cow best bang for your buck... Shooting CBC 77 grain OTMs out at 650 yards with ease and nailing the 750 steel if I don't rush it... I think you'll really like yours. Didn't have an SPR build and now that I have my PSA I wonder how I lived without it!

Thank you, jclaypool - after almost 6 years of reading on this board and watching all the pics of your amazing ARs, I decided to become a member of a german sports-shooters club to make this dream come true.
And what shall I say? I'm very happy with what I've got!
I will shoot it at distances of 50m, 100m & 300m and I guess, it'll do a great job ;)

I.

Maybe he has a big face.

Plus the 1" tube can be deceiving appearance-wise. The 30mm and 1" PA mounts leave the optic centerline in the same.place....just looks higher with the 1" tube.

The mount is normal height; I just think the huge .mil knobs make the scope look big.

I can't say how my face compares though.

First SPR type AR.  I put 35 rounds through it this evening getting on paper.  I used Federal American Eagle 55 grain (from the '80s).  This has been pretty accurate ammo, I got a 10 shot group of about 1.5" at roughly 100 yards (I stepped it off).  I have some 69gr Winchester Match and some Outback 55gr SMK to try out now that I have it somewhat zeroed...

Specs:

-Larue Stealth upper, 20" Lothat Walther bbl, 13.2" rail, Larue BCG
-Harris 9-12" bipod on Larue integral mount
-Secret Service surplus Leupold  Mk4 10X in a Larue SPR mount

-Armalite lower, I built with a Colt LPK, Larue MBT trigger, Magpul aluminum trigger guard, VLTOR A5 kit, MOE grip I had around..
