That picture was taken after the paint dried to see how well the camo on the scope lined up with the camo on the rifle. It is a bit far forward for me to use.

SICK. If this was a 16" with an ops/ae collar setup and a can it would be identical to mine.

Basically the evolution of the MK12, same as above.

Here's a 16" SPR with URX3 and 12th model:

Damn, 2 nice sticks you got their. im still collecting ideas for my 308 build, havent done one yet, anyways, i like how yours turned out

Curious how much that 308 weighs in at?
Link Posted: 1/11/2015 11:16:31 AM EDT
[#13]
The 556 weighs 8lb 14 oz without bipod and magazine.  It now has a B5 Bravo Stock instead of the Sopmod and a silencerco specwar brake so I can use my can.

The .308 without bipod, sling, magazine, and can weighs 10 lb 6 oz

My yet to be finished spr.  Plan on getting a Larue lt104 and a vortex 2.5-10. Undecided on the bipod but between an Atlas or Harris.

Larue Tactical complete stealth upper 18in. barrel.

Spikes lower, B5 sopmod. The light is a E2D defender in a thorntail mount, I think that's what it is anyway.

I like the Harris as well.  I have the swivel model leg notch, and standard leg notch no swivel.  It may that I need to get used to the swivel, but I shot tighter groups with the non-swivel, probably user error.

Thanks.  Getting a Harris very soon. Just ordered the LT104 after making the post yesterday. I've had the rifle for about 3 years but never had the financial means to finish it the way I envisioned.  I just recently bought a scar 17 as well so I guess that didn't help.

This is not the final product but I had enough parts to get a working rifle going.   This build has made me miss having a 20" barreled rifle.   Barrel is a 20" Criterion from Fulton.

Sierra 69's at 100yds.   Yeah it's only 3 shots but I was establishing zero's, not shooting for groups.

Not too shabby at 200yds either:

Hornady 75's are working well too.   200yds:

Thanks. It was my first time assembling an upper from the ground up. It was fun. I am shooting it this weekend

Inspired by the MK12 Mod 1.  I originally installed a Criterion 18" rifle length barrel with a .223 Wylde chamber.  The rifle would not cycle .223 Rem ammo with that barrel.  5.56 ammo would run just fine.  I didn't want to drill out the gas port, so I sent that barrel back and picked up a Rainier Match SPR barrel.  I got out to the range yesterday to test the rifle.  The Rainier barrel cycles both .223 Rem and 5.56 ammo.

10 shot group with Hornady .223 Rem 75gr BTHP.  Shot seated with a front and rear bag.  Edit: shot at 100 yards.

Mark 4 came in yesterday. Time to start contributing to this thread. Should have some glamour range pics come the weekend.
