It looks like an M16A4 (or a SAM-R with a standard FSB), with an ARMS #59M SIR, ARMS #22 "high" (1.450) 30mm throw lever scope rings, A Leupold 3.5-10 x 40mm LR/T M1 Illuminated Reticle scope, an Insight AN/PEQ-2, an ARMS #32 bipod mount, and a Harris bipod.

I am curious as to the barrel's specifications, the rear BUIS, the scope's reticle, and the specific model of bipod, as well as anything else that it not outwardly obvious.

I'll see if I can't send him a link here. As I recall, it was a standard chrome lined barrel.

And a Bushmaster I believe.

Looks like an ARMS #40 rear sight.

I appreciate the link, but it doesn't really answer most of my guestions.

Is the rear sight an ARMS #40L?

Is the bipod a Harris HBR-S?

Which of the two offered reticles were utilized?

Was the barrel a DCM/CMP Service Rifle type?

I suspect that somebody has already done the homework.  Didn't we have a member that built a clone?

The bipod adapter mount would be in question. Considering the drawing still shows the tension adjusting screw, it may not be an A.R.M.S. #32. Could be a YHM, KAC, or LaRue. If the drawing is incorrect and the tension adjusting screw is actually removed, then it could be the A.R.M.S. #32 mount.

So this barrel is a lightweight (Government profile) chrome-lined steel 1x9 twist with a standard barrel extension (no M4 feed ramps)?

Anybody know which reticle in the scope?

You're going to have to search the archive. The original 2005 thread is also linked in the thread linked above. It gives some info, but none of the small details you are looking for. I remember Travis doing a thread that specifically covered the rifle he used, but it might be dificult to find in the archive.

If you weren't around here then you have to remember that those threads were like lightning rods for jackasses and trolls who wanted to bash contractors. I remember several threads getting locked/trashed and that might have happened to the rifle thread.

Stupid question on my part.

Why is this significant?  Why would someone want to make a copy of his rifle?

There is NO guesswork in the drawing. It is correct in every aspect. Since it is specced by the weapons' operator.
