I would not really call 77 grain ammo ( MK 262 ) a "craze"  , It is well known to be one of the best loads out there and has been used at Camp Perry for years.

Going to a put a A2 on it once I get it stippled or a spare TD grip. Not digging the Ergo currently.

Nice!

Although others despise it, I am sure...mostly for lack of ownership... (No SBR in my state)

Don't you hate it when that happens? Don't worry, it happens to us all from time to time... But that is a MK18 rail.

Thats what I get for not comparing it to my mk18 rail...I compared it to the one above his post.   But I still despise his build, No SBRs in my state, but he can have one because of his profession... I have to be content witha  Pistol build

Is this correct?
CQBR - M4A1 Lower
MK18 - M16 lower
LMT rear sight - MK18
Knights 300m BUIS - CQBR

You will see the occasional example of each with the other rear BUIS.

Also, there have been some photos of what appear to be USCG "MK 18 MOD 0s" that use Colt U.S. Property marked M4A1 lowers, Insight M6X, and EOTech 552s:

I hear ya. I've had my finger on the trigger for a DD MK18 upper for awhile now myself.

I may hold off and grab an AAC can first though.

First suppressor or first SBR...which to go with first.

What did you expect?

You already get an M4A1 Block II...you now need an MK18 CQBR to pair with it.

I've got everything for a CQBR except an SBR'd lower and a barrel... Rail, upper receiver, bcd, optic and small parts are all in my possession.  I live in Washington and am waiting until I hopefully get a job back home in Idaho after I graduate in June

I already reside in a free state, but have been trying to convince my wife to move to Idaho for over a year now.

She doesn't like the cold, and I don't like the heat. We're in quite the predicament that she's currently on the winning side of.

LiquidG, thanks for your help. $54.95 is too high for me,cause I need a least 3 of them. I think I will get the 3- Noveske rear sling mounts from Brownells.

Many of those sling mounts also prevent you from using the first stock position, which I do frequently, so I dislike them anyways - I think the Noveske is going to be the better option - replacement mounting plates almost always are if you have the choice to replace the receiver plate, "add on" receiver plates are a band aid for those that cannot change their stock due to modification policies.

Different units sometimes have different policies on modification, while some end-users simply don't want to go through the trouble.

ETA:  Oddly enough, the end user in question appears to have both - a replacement end-plate for HK hooks, and a "retrofit" QD mount.
