100 yard target shot from a sitting position with elbows on legs. I know it sucks, but I had a ton of fun with the challenge.

There is also a 600 yard side, but did not get any photos cause I was all business, and I swear I made a hit at 600, but hard to tell. I did do very well out to 400 with all ammo from cheap reloaded .223 to M193 5.56 with this BCM 14.5" mid length.

can't stand the range nazis here... always yelling to leave my bolts open.. i mean we all know how a gun can jump up and shoot itself... cheap thursdays though...

Wife slapping steel at 100 yards.

What length barrel? Can't tell if it's a 14.5" with a 12" rail or a 16" with a 14". Any problems with gas block clearance?

14.5" barrel with a CMR 14" rail. No problems at all--it was asembled in house at BCM (midlength with a low pro BCM gas block).

How did you manage that? I wish they would offer the cmr rails on their uppers. I've heard of some people having issues with that rail and gas blocks.

I was having cycling issues and sent it in. Apparently my gunsmith installed the gas block wrong, so BCM stripped my upper apart, dimpled my barrel for the gas block (which my smith failed to do), and installed it and the rail for me. ALL on their dime, shipping included. It clears the the gas block just fine, and I LOVE the rail itself.

I probably have one of the only, if not the only BCM upper with a factory installed CMR.

Yet another reason why I love those people.

Thank you. And believe it or not, my tailcap twisted off during a class. It didn't fall off but probably wasn't waterproof anymore. Just paranoid I guess

Tape switches plug/pop into place. He's talking about the tailcap that screws onto the Scout body.

Not if you use that style of grip. Light is mounted consistent with the training for the grip style.

I'm wanting to know more about the optic and mount.

I was curious about the optic setup as well.

Looks like an RMR, but not familiar with the mount.

I'm currently in the market for a super light optic on a new SBR. Lighter than an Aimpoint Micro light.

Search the web for posts from Pat McNamara about using the RMR. I think he was using the AR mount that comes with the RMR for a while. Not sure if what is pictured is something else.
